Hey all...
My sister is getting married July 12th and I need some motivation and some challenge from others to shed the last of my baby weight to look hot in the dress! SOOO starting this Saturday I am going to start weighing in every Saturday in hopes of losing 16 lbs in the next 8 weeks! I would hope for more but I know it is only safe to hope for 2 lbs a week!!
So, who is in? Please only reply if you are serious to committing to the whole 8 weeks. The other challenge I joined has fizzled by week 6 and has left me unmotivated!!

Week 1and 2: Water challenge
drink half your body weight in water (e.g. for 180 pounds, you would drink 90 oz)
--OR--
__According to the Mayo Clinic the recommended water intake for men is 3.0 liters (13 cups) and women is 2.2 liters (9 cups/75 ounces).
Week 3: Fiber Challenge:
*Fiber is the part of plant foods that your body doesn't digest and absorb. There are two basic types: soluble and insoluble. Insoluble fiber adds bulk to your stool and can help prevent constipation. Vegetables, wheat bran and other whole grains are good sources of insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber may help improve your cholesterol and blood sugar levels. According to the Mayo Clinic ,
*Women need 21 to 25 grams of fiber* a day. So that's the goal! Eating fiber helps you feel full too!
(The smilies just help me to quickly locate those who are up to date with weigh ins.)

Weighing in for the weekend as I'm getting ready to head out of town. My current weight is 171.6, here's hoping I don't put on too much this weekend!!
My goal this time about was to hit 168 by the 18th (which is just after the 8 weeks), the calorie target says I"m on track to hit that by the 15th... so I'm pretty much on task.
I'm not sure what my final weights going to be... but I'll join you for another 8 weeks. The extra week in between will give me time to get that "healthy bmi" rating I'm wanting so badly. I'm thinking around the 160 mark I might just switch to maintenance eating and aim for sculpting... we'll see.. not sure how much I want to weigh :) Alright, have a safe and happy holiday!
Have a safe, but fun time. Give the high & low lights when you get back. We would love to "hear about it." Glad to see you want another challenge, too. The more friends on the playground, the more fun we will have. YEAH!

Goal 135
I would love to do another 8 weeks! At this point I'm going to need all the help I can get. I feel great and my ultimate goal is just around the corner. I can almost see it or rather see me at it it!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. Our festivities are actually happening tomorrow. We have people coming in from Florida tonight and are having a barbecue Sunday with some of the neibors and relatives. It's going to be somewhat potluck but I'm making the fat free potato salad, deviled eggs and grilling the meat.
I don't think I'll make my goal for this challange but I'm closer to maintainence and I'm happy with that.
Hey everyone~! Sorry it took me so long to post the scores from last week! Wk6 is up and all wk7 is updated so far, if i missed anything PLEASE pm me and let me know. I am running on half a brain. My mother in law was in town and school ended and I am packing for my sister's wedding so I feel like I can't quite concentrate! haha.
Anyways, I am STILL at 190 this week. I think that may be partially because of bloating though because I had a real good week. We will see tomorrow when I get on the scale again!
Thanks to everyone for your continued efforts in losing weight and patience!
I would LOVE to run another 8 week challenge but will need to skip this next week because I will be in Ohio for my sister's wedding. BUT, keep checking this board and I will post a link to the new challenge. I don't want to open it up to anyone new, just to those who are consistent and dedicated form this one because, well it is hard to deal with that! I want to know the people in this are sticking to it like I am trying my best to! That is when I get motivated!
Good Luck this week, our LAST WEEK!!
Teresa
Hi everyone! I just have a little weight loss this week (down just .4 of a pound to 164.0 pounds). On the good side ... my quads and hamstrings are toning and tightening up quite nicely. Time to "shake up" my workout.
Im at 133 now! woohoo!

Weigh in is 148.5 so I didn't maintain, although I thought I had a good weekend. I'm hoping that it's due to my TOTM. I'm going to log everything this week and see where that gets me.
Congrats to Leann who is almost at goal weight and to everyone else working so hard.
Somehow, I'm at 169.3, which I think is good considering the holiday weekend, although that was Sat and I'm too scared to check again to see if I did any damage. I plan on being extra good this week to make up for it, just in case...
jeepers i am AWFUL at checking in .... 187.5. whew. :/

Well I didn't make goal but I'm a whole lot closer to the final goal then I was 8 weeks ago. Thank you for doing this and I hope the wedding goes or rather went beautifully.
I'm looking forward to the next 8 weeks. I'm just going to continue posting here until you get back and start another link. (Right?)
today's weight, 170.0. Not to shabby.
I was stoked to come back from vacation and see that I was still down. Good times.
Vacation was awesome. We rented a house for a few days on the north coast. Lots of nature walks and relaxation. Was able to get in some exercise so I came back having continued the weight loss, I'm stoked. alright, I'm off, busy day ahead!

Ok, final weight is at 133. Its not budging anymore. I definitely want to do another challenge because this actually held me accountable for good nutrition choices and weigh ins!
Great job to everybody else that stuck to it!
Hi everybody. Glad to see that we have so many up for another 8 week challenge. We sure have an awesome group here. Bohdan, sorry for the stupid question but.... which coast? I've only been on the west side. Many years ago I cycled from New Westminister (British Columbia) down the coast on (sorry if I spell it wrong...Chouquenut Drive) to Seattle. I spent the night at a hotel that caters to families, from out of town, visiting students. I came back on the "old highway 99." Crossed the "Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver, then back up to New Westminister all in two days. I did the trip by myself when I was 21(oh, to be young again). It was freaking awesome!
Anyway I digress, I had a great week. My final weight for this challenge is 161.2 pounds. Total weight lost in this challenge is 20.4 pounds.

The west one. We didn't go quite that far up... CA is a huge state, we just went a couple hours north of bodega bay along the 1. Good times though.
Final weigh in is 147. At last, I exercise and watch what I eat by logging and what do you know I lost some weight. I'm back on the bandwagon, so I'm up for the next challenge. Want to loose at least another 4 lbs maybe 7 so I have some wiggle room. 4 pounds and I think my summer wardrobe will expand into some things I wore pre-baby!
