Tip: WALK!! Everyday on your lunch break. To a further bus stop than the one outside your door. Down a few flights of stairs to use the "restroom facilities" on a different floor. Walk over to speak to a co-worker instead of dialing their extension. Anywhere that you could walk in 15 min do not drive the car. Walk up a flight or two to do laundry on a different floor if you have communal laundry facilities. Just WALK as much as possible.

I started eating healthier and working out daily this year and I am just now seeing the results on my body, which is my motivation. I have dropped 4 pant sizes since I started and I am so proud of myself.

I didn't lose any weight until I joined CC.

# of weeks of health lifestyle change: Almost 11 weeks

# of lbs lost to date: 11 lbs

Goal Weight: 126 lbs

Tip: Stop drinking pop (occasionally have a diet one if desired), limit the amount of white breads, potatos, and pastas consumed to one to two days a week or less, eat lots of vegetables and fruits, walk whenever possible, get the needed amount of rest to recover, and build muscle to keep burning calories during inactive periods.

gee wiz Tweetrita!

4 sizes lost with 11 pounds? I want to be JUST LIKE YOU!

I'm 27 too.

I have lost more inches off my waist and my butt mostly because I stopped drinking pop and I have been using a total gym to build the lean muscles I need. I have this belly because I have two children and I never strengthened my stomach muscles after giving birth, which made it worse.

What is your exercise routine like and how is your diet? I would love to help you in any way I can. I know that you can succeed with a healthy lifestyle change, especially if you have people helping you out. I have received a lot of help from people here and I would like to return the favor to others. Let me know if you would like some one to keep you motivated and successful.

Tip: On the days when I have gone for a good walk and am still under my calories I treat myself to a 1/4 cup of Haagen-Daz Ice Cream.  I also don't deprived myself of other things that I like, I just make sure the serving is VERY small.

Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for substitutions when you're out to eat. Most restaurants are happy to substitute mixed greens for fries (or steamed veggies for buttery mashed potatoes) if you ask. If they can't (or won't), just ask the kitchen to leave the calorie-dense side off of the plate altogether so you're not tempted to go at it when it hits your table.

What a great topic to post!

Stop drinking alcohol during the week.

Plan ahead for what you are going to eat the next day (or week if you can).

Exercise in some way everyday, since it's not my favorite thing to do I am setting a goal to run a 5mile race in September, that helps.

Food choices: Low carb, high protein, tons of green

Start Date: August 2007

Current Weight: 124

# of weeks of healthy lifestyle: 42

# of lbs lost since start:14.5

Goal Weight: 96

TIP: add light wrist weights to your cardio workout not to build muscle but to burn more calories.

Start Date:Feb 5th 2008

Start Weight: 329

Current Weight: 302ish

# of weeks of healthy lifestyle: 20

# of lbs lost since start:28ish

Goal Weight: 175ish ... who knows =)

Tip:  Buy a food scale and weigh everything, especially foods such as cereal, PB, pasta, rice etc. Read labels, many times .. the serving will be 1 cup, but you are accustomed to eating 2 or more cups, and sometimes one cup isnt equivalent to the weight of the product, a good example of this is cereal, one cup of cereal is way more than the 56g recommended serving, by not weighing you are eating way more than whats written on the box as a one cup serving size.

Love you for you, if you love yourself.. making a healthy choice is easier=)
