Hey, I have joined CC as a true start for my weight loss(hopefully). I am in my final year at university and want get healthy and lose(some) weight before i have to start work.

Starting this topic to keep me on track as i have tried to lose weight many times before and failed. Lots of tips needed.

my scale is being crazy. first it said i'd gained  two pounds. then it said i'd lost 5. i don't know what is going on. so i weight myself a bunch and 229 is the average that i got. i hope that's not what i weigh this week, because that's discouraging. stupid scale!! i might be retaining water because i had a lot of salt last night. so i'm tempted to drink 3x as much water tonight and weigh in again tomorrow. what do y'all think?

Im so late with this post, its been super busy!  I managed to lose the 4 pounds I gained last week!

Hey guys sorry I'm so late... I've been having some "home" issues... and with that said not to my surprise I actually gained my weight back... I didnt eat very well at al and I went out drinkin on Saturday... so go figure :-) I will get back on the ball Hopefully I can at least lose the 3 lbs that I gained this week!

I am surprised that I managed to lose any weight this week as I have been very stressed and I usually gain loads when I am.

I'm down 4 lbs.  I weighed myself yesterday and I was 236 but this morning I weighed in at 235. I have been eating right and going to the gym regularly. I did 60 minutes on the Elliptical machine programed on interval training for more calorie burning. I feel great.

I know what you mean by motivation it took me a lot of time and yo-yo dieting before i finally decided i really wanted to do this. I find that if i take it in baby steps its a lot easier, looking to lose 10lb (or even 5lbs) at a time and then maintaining for a bit or if I have enough motivation going for the next mini goal. Its a hell of a lot less daunting that aiming for a 91lb loss.

Well...it's TTOTM so no surprise here...

I'm not worried, though.  It's probably mostly water.  I'll reweigh in a couple days just to be sure.

Mini goal weight 192.. that will be 25 lbs and hopefully I will be able to see the changes more! And feel them...
