What are your favorite Boy or Girl names?

I think my names preference is mostly based on positive associations or after people/characters that I really admire. Such that by giving those names I hope they grow to have some of the characteristics which I associate with that name.

 We are going Italian too! My husband is not from Italy (I think you live there, right?) but Italian heritage 100%. My step-daughter who lives with us full time is Angela (we have a very Italian last name too).

For baby hopefully to arrive in future, I like:

I kind of didn't have a choice but to have a girl because my top two picks for boy names are Alex and Ben, which happen to be my husband and brother-in-law's names. 

We opted for Alexis for our baby, but call her Allie so there aren't two Alex's in the house.
