I can't deny it but frying is my top one, yeh I know, I said frying so shoot me lol. Seriously thiugh if the egg is fried and drained how much fat can there be left, it's not like eggs are super absorbent and just suck up the cooking oil.
I love boiled and deviled eggs. Boiled eggs are easy to toss in with a packed lunch. Deviled eggs are yummy if you mix the yolks with low calorie mustard and mayo and mix them up and put them back in the boiled white part. I cut up pickles in mine. Also poached eggs in the microwave are super easy and yummy over whole wheat toast with sugar free marmalade. If you aren't turned off by the possibility of food poisoning raw eggs are good in smoothies with cocoa powder and an assortment of frozen fruit. They make your smoothies tastle like cookie dough. Scrambled eggs are much better if you whisk them with a capful of milk before putting them in the pan. This makes them much fluffier (a secret I learned from my boyfriend - how had I been making scrambled eggs any other way? He likes to put salsa or "rooster sauce" on his but it isn't my thing) Eggs are also great in breakfast burritos and omlets.
I use "Egg Whites International 100% Egg Whites" and I buy it by the gallon. It'll last for about 4 months in the frig. They're pasteurized so you can safely drink it.
It has no taste and works great when mixed in with my smoothies for that added protein.
I lovee making omelettes.
I first lightly saute chopped onion, bell pepper, tomato, spinach, ham or bacon, and whatever else I have in a pan sprayed with Pam. After, pour in 2-3 eggs that have been whisked with a small splash of milk and salt/pepper. Cover and cook. Sometimes I'll sparingly sprinkle some cheddar cheese before folding it over into omelette form. Top with hot sauce or salsa. YUMM. :9
I love eggs sunny side up!
