low calorie sandwiches
In my lunch for school usualy has one of these three sandwiches:
1.Ham, lettice, whole-weat bread, tomato
2.Left over chicken breast on whole weat bread
3.Turkey, lettice, whole weat bread, tomato
Wow! Big sellection! I have been eating these for almost 6 months now and if I see anouther one of these sandwiches I swear I am going to explode. I don't care what type of sandwich it is, as long as its under 300 calories, I wont feel bad about eating it. So please, I beg of anyone, help!

tuna fish? or peanut butter and jelly? or roast beef?... depends on what you like and what type of bread you've got. but you can do pretty much anything for under 300...
I usually make a "half sandwhich" or like turkey (25 calories for 3 thick slices) and 1 piece of bread folded (80 calories) then I throw in a cup of grapes (62 calories) and a 100 calorie snack pack, total= 262 calories :)
or I'll have a salad and throw in some turkey (or tuna slices) (generally 60 calories for the meat and like 30 for the salad) along with a fruit and a 100 calorie snack pack, or a pudding or jello (60/70)
of course everything is served with a nice bottle of water with a bottle of water shaken up with "Totally llight Tea2Go" (no calories :D)

Sometimes I have low cal bread and tuna w/ a little calorie free Dijon Mustard and a peice of lettuce. . .it's pretty good. Two peices of bread and half a can of tuna puts you at around 120 calories and it's pretty filling :).
Do you like pita bread or other flat breads? That's a new twist on sandwiches too. you can stuff them with tuna, or with lettuce and a variety of fresh veggies and a bit of fat free dressing. :) I do this quite often with a cup of soup for lunch for a grand total of around 250-300 calories.
I eat low carb/cal wraps a couple times a week...
Low carb wheat wrap -80 calories
Turkey 3 slices 75
1 slice Lowfat mozerella 50 calories
lowfat mayo - 50 calories
zesty mustard 0 calories
Total Calories 255
Along with this I usually fix a salad and use the fat free Italian Dressing... or I add pepper to the sandwich.
Fyi - Lean Cusine is making frozen Panini sandwiches that range from 280 to 325 calories and they are really good too.

The paninis are really good!
Have you considered lettuce wraps? Mm! At Costco..we've also found little BLT wraps. They have lettuce, tomato, mayo, swiss cheese and bacon bits. Quite yummy. And there's a turkey version too which is even better. They're tiny, so you can take one or two of them with you for lunch, and they don't appeart o be many calories (I could be wrong,b ut it also depends on how many you eat)

Southwestern Turkey Rollups (no bread)
4 slices of deli turkey breast
4 TBS salsa
8 TBS shredded low fat cheese
finely minced jalapeno peppers (or bell peppers)
finely minced red onion
Spread each slice of turkey with 1 TBS salsa leaving a 1 1/2" border at one end.
Sprinkle each with 2 TBS cheese and peppers & onions to taste
Roll up and enjoy
Even better if chilled first. Makes a nice hors doeuvres if cut in half on the diagonal and arranged on a platter.
Deli turkey breast has about 35 calories a slice and very little fat. Ask to see the nutritional lable.
For a richer treat, add 1 TBS of guacamole or sour cream

You could add more to your sandwich if you changed your bread to healthy life bread. I only have the white bread right now but the nutrition facts are;

i like to 'treat' myself once a week and eat out for lunch. i love subway 6" veggi sandwich, with four slices of cheese, lettuce, green peppers, spinach, cucumbers and a little salt and pepper. even with the extra cheese it's still under 250 calories.
although i don't know how many calories it is (sorry) sometimes i bring an 'apple wrap' - diced apple, a little peanut butter and granola all wrapped up in a tortilla. can't be too bad for you......

Try a roasted vegetable sandwich. Use a good bun and load it with roasted vegetables. I like red pepper, red onion, zucchini, mushrooms. Then drizzle a bit of dressing on them and enjoy. To roast the vegetables, just chop them up into large chunks and place them in the oven at 400-425 for about 20 min. Take them out when they look brown and roasted. If you want to include extra calories, use a bit of feta in the sandwich.
Try...adding something like spinach or asparagus...grill it up before hand...with turkey...and some low fat swiss or other lowfat white cheese...and fat free italian...put it on a pita or low fat tortilla also have you thought about getting a thermos? There are tons of low call soups...that with have a sand...could stay under 300 cals easily...I make tortilla soup alot...lowfat everything...and leave out the chips...put in some wild rice and extra tomatoes...you could make homemade chicken noodle...use those dream fields noodles that are low carb...and fresh carrots and celery...add in other veggies...or do a meatless stew...or 96% lean meat...Just some ideas...hope that helps...

Weight Watchers has a new whole wheat bread out that is only 90 calories for 2 slices. Not sure if that will help. It gives you a little more room for some extras. Also make a chiken salad w/ low fat mayo, cerery and grapes. Also Lean Cruisine has some good low cal meals. Good luck.
Wow! I am now trying alot of ur guys recipies and I love them! But i cant find any bread that is under 90 calories per a piece, where do you buy yours?
have you heard of the new white bread made of whole grains? i love it and only 80 calories per slice, it's at pretty much every store around here
I tried using pitas too! Oh my gosh, they make whole weat pitas! I never new and they are really good too! I put in tomato and lettice and some lean turkey breast and then i put a thin layer of hummus on top! It's great! The pitas were a great idea and are very low calorie.
Is that white whole grain bread the one from Sarah Lee?
actually ours is by "wonder" but it should be the same idea
I dont know if you have a microwave avaliable to you at your school but I have recently discovered these and they are SOOOO GOOD! and I mean both in calories/taste: lean cuisine panini sandwiches.
