35 calories a slice, the honey wheat my favorite
I use the Skinny Buns that are available in the Supermarket by the regular buns. They are made by Pepperidge Farm, Sara Lee or Arnolds. They are 100 Calories each and are the size of an english muffin just very thin and without nooks and crannies. They are whole wheat or multi grain. There are also skinny bagels out now and they make good sandwiches also. I like these with Laughing Cow Cheese and lean turkey or ham -- comes to about 200 calories for a small sandwich.
Weight Watchers Multi Grain 2 slices 70 calories...toasted to firm it up...makes a great base for a delicious california style snadwich of light cream cheese on one slice, mashed avocado on the other slice and in between, fake or real bacon bits, tomato slices and sprouts of any kind. If you do not want the cheese use hummus it is also really good.
I also like Joseph's oat bran and flax pita bread only 60 calories. I split it and fill with some sliced swiss cheese and thin sliced mushrooms and toast it in the toaster to melt cheese and crisp pita up...very tasty!
Maybe some chopped/shredded precooked chicken with a little bit of mayo, pecans and cranberries or grapes for chicken salad sandwich?
My favourite wrap is:
Hummus, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, black olives + feta cheese. Lush and packed full of vitamins :)
