In about a week I'm leaving for a mini vacation. I'm driving about 30 hours give or take some time for resting. My questions is this: Are there any filling snacks/meals that I can pack with me to curb the craving and keep me full?

WOW!
Long trips can be rough on a diet.
My mom and I just got back from driving 6 hours (which I thought was long--I was wrong, I see) to see my little brother graduate from Army basic training.
Can you take a cooler? Will you have somewhere you can store the food when you get where you are going?
We took a cooler packed to the brim with bottle of water and no sugar green tea bottles, apples, plums, a few bananas, our favorite lunch meats, cheese and caramel rice cakes (from Aldi's--70ish calories for 10ish), string cheese, salad, all kinds of chopped up veggies, yogurt. Now I know these are not meals, but combining some of the individual things can create meals, but almost everything is eat in the car possible. I took a couple of wide mouth, decent size cups, so I could make my mom a, for example, chopped up veggie snack that she could hold in her lap and no mess was made. She ate meat rollups, string cheeses, rice cakes and fruit while driving.
We also got out a couple of times to stretch and do a little walking for exercise---and dang, dude---you are going a long way!
just fyi too, but I logged all that time in the car as activity too---not a lot of calories burned, but if you are doing it, I figured it's worht recording. ( :
Be careful and I hope the trip is for something fun! --Olivia

Pretzels are fairly low in calories and they keep me full when I snack on them. I also carry a small container of dark chocolate chips to eat with them. They go good together and the dark chocolate is better for you than alot of other snacks.
I like to snack on Barbara's Bakery Puffins cereal. They are nice neat little squares, easy to pick up, not messy and very low in calories but high in nutrition.
Hard boiled eggs are good (if you have a cooler). You'll need some protein to keep you satisfied.

Wow, You guys have a lot of good ideas. Yeah I'm taking a cooler with me and plan on taking a fruit/pasta salad with me. I'm fearing my mom wanting to stop at fast food places and.. starbucks
Have fun, alicat! ( : Where are you going, if I can ask?
I wanted to ask claire too--where do you find the Barbara's cereal?
Eating out on the road can be tough---lots of places have a low cal option menu these days--Applebee's and CHili's both do where I am, and I heard something here about a low cal, new drink at Starbucks. Search maybe that and the eating out ( :

I made a mistake. I'm going from the northern tip of American to the southern to visit family. 15 hours there with out sleep.. 30 Round trip. My mother is acualy obessed with starbucks and I'm excited to find out that a tall caffe mocha with no whip and made iwth nonfat milk is only about 180 calories. :) Sadly I'll little to no internet available there so I've been running trying to collect data ahead of time. lol
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Hey guys. Got here 1000 Miles later. 2 days of driving and both days I managed to keep it under 1300 - 1500 calories. Thanks for all your suggestions.
