What type of neckline would work for me? I have wider shoulders.
Thanks for any help!!
First and foremost, congratulations!!!:) Maybe you could take a look here for help with necklines: http://www.whatsuitsyou.co.uk/Articles/Broad_ Shoulders.php
But I actually do think halters have the potential to be really pretty on broader shoulders if the straps are a good thickness! Positioning of the strap is important too. Woah, I really watch a lot of Say Yes to the Dress :D haha
:-) Congratulations!
We've actually discussed wedding dresses at great lenght in The Lounge last autumn :-D
I can't find the one with short sleeves that I liked very much (I'm generally not a huge fan of no-sleeves wedding dresses) but I found a few others.
I suggest you 'frame' your decollete/cleavage, with a scoop or with something heart shaped and break up the round line of your shoulders. it should also gather where your waist is thinnest - which I can't judge based on your pic but is possibly a few centimeters under the bust?
This is very innocent
This has a rockabilly touch I really like - Should be great if you've got pretty calves and is a young and cute style - which should suit you :-)
This is sparkly and gathers a bit higher under the bust - always a very flattering style
And these are a bit quirky.
This is flattering and has got a train but I think it's a tad too frumpy for someone so young.
Your skin and hair is going to look fantastic in white!
Have fun!
If at all possible, go to a dress shop and just start trying dresses on - even ones that you think look awful on the hanger - it's hard to know what will look good on you until you are actually wearing it.
But I think kikt's second option (the rockabilly one) could totally work for you.
My sister was a swimmer so she had really big shoulders. Whilst trying on wedding dresses we saw that the strapless ones looked really bad on her. Her dress ultimately had really thick straps (not sleeves), a lower cut (showing off the "girls"), and had a higher waist with beading to make her look smaller. Everyone commented how nice she looked in her dress. :)

This! My recently-acquired sister-in-law and I both chose dresses in styles that neither of us thought would suit us. It's hard to know what'll look good on you until it's actually on you. :D
I agree with purespark and amethystgirl: go try on dresses!
I tried on over 40 dresses before I found the one I fell in love with.

pretty!!!
Go to a bridal shop and try on one in every style
Once you decide on the style you like go out and buy the underwear "foundation" garment you plan to wear at the wedding. Wear this every time you go for a fitting so that your body is consitently the same shape for each fitting.
As someone who has made several wedding dresses this is of #1 importance. You'd be amazed at how a difference in undergarments impacts how your clothes fit - especially a wedding dress.
BTW - Best Wishes for a lovely wedding and happy marriage.
Like everyone said, you really do have to try on dresses to see what suits your frame/body. You could even try on regular dresses to get an idea of the best neckline before you try on bridal.
I am tall (5'7" - 5'8") and have broad shoulders (for a woman), narrow hips (relatively speaking) and large chest (D-DD). Halter and strapless were best for me looks wise. I went halter style. Strapless gets difficult with my large "girls" to accommodate well in a bra and not worry about things falling down, etc.

I'm NOT tall (5'2") but like April_bride, I have broad shoulders, narrow hips and a large chest. I went with a strapless dress and it worked well. You can see the photo in my gallery. I wore a bodice and Spanx to keep my girls in line.
Oh, and I used lots of fashion tape. =]
