Does anyone belong to....

ancestory.com?  I need a search for someone that I think died in the US, but all I have is a name!  Anyone?

Or does anyone know if the US has one death register or is there one for each state?

I think it's only a couple of bucks to get the record if you can find it.

My ancestry.com subscription has lapsed but you would need dates and locations to narrow down the possibilities. If you are still searching and have more than a name, send me a message and I will see what I can find.
