Average bra size?
I was reading Woman's World, and one page, they said the average bra size in America was 34D. Is it just me, or does that seem a little crazy? 34D is supermodel proportions, not of the average woman. What do you guys think?

I was wearing a bra when I was 9. Puberty starts between 8 and 11.
Her and my cousins always say stuff to bring me down because in have way smaller chests than them.
Are there any good bras out there that I can buy? I'm going to VS nextweekend and I was wondering which of their bras can boost my A to a B and give me SOME cleavage.
Thanks :)

I'm the same bra size as you but 5'9 and 155 pounds. Isn't it funny how bodies are so different?
Anyway, back when I thought boob size mattered, I liked the Very Sexy bra from Victoria's Secret.
Now, you couldn't PAY me to wear a padded bra.
well, how did you get confidence to not wear one?

These bras are supposed to make you look two cup sizes bigger. They have some sort of push up gel... I have D's, but my BFF has chicken cutlets, aka, A cups and wears push ups from VS. Good luck. Try to embrace your small boobies :) Just remember, they will never get saggy!

I grew up.
im 5'7 116lbs and i wear a 34B. it fits right. but based on how to calculate the bra size i should wear a 34AA which doesnt fit me.
my underbust is 29. bust size is 34. what size should i be wearing?
I was US equivalent 32C after augmentation, but would now be 34D I think (after weight gain). I'm not entirely sure, I don't wear bras. I don't shave my armpits either. I use being a feminist as an excuse, but the truth is I'm just lazy.
And for those about to counter with "a feminist wouldn't have an augmentation" or something of the like, I had it done during a manic episode whilst severely underweight because at the time, it made sense to my malnourished/delusional brain that it would make me "appear" like I'd put on weight and get everyone off my back.
But I wouldn't be averse to having them taken out now either. I just can't be bothered/can't afford it anyway.
^How do you get along without a bra?
They just stand upright - probably due to augmentation, I don't know. Also the fact that the implants were done beneath the muscle (due to my low weight at that time). But my mother is 56 and a D cup and hers are also quite upright too, even without a bra (but she wears them), so it could be partly genetics.
Also, subsequent to the augmentation, I have absolutely no sensation. You could literally stand there pounding my boobs like punching bags and I wouldn't feel a thing. It's quite odd, really. They don't bother me, but *not* having them wouldn't bother me either. *Shrugs*
When I get back into exercise I'm hoping that with some weight loss they'll revert back to a C, mainly due to the fact that I imagine it will make exercising much easier. I do think it must be hard for women with huge breasts to engage in intense exercise, and I sympathise with the back pains/difficulties they generally face on a day to day basis also.
I just think you're lucky...unfortunately, a person could definitely tell if I wasn't wearing a bra...

Same. :(
I'd put someone's eye out. D:
^It's a very unfortunate condition :(
LOL at you two ^. I'd bet they're even more lethal when it's cold out.
That is true ![]()
I'm sure this has been covered in the 21 pages but sizes are so misleading because people totally misunderstand them. Most women are in WAY TOO BIG of a band and WAY TOO SMALL of a cup. They are usually squeezing themselves in a 36 C when they should be a 34 DD. A 38 A, 36 B, 34 C, 32 D, and 30 DD ALL have the SAME cup size, just different bands. Meaning that a 38 A would be too large of a band for a person with a 30 DD measurement but the cup would fit. The cup size is dependent on the band, not the other way around.
I'm a 32 DD and I definitely do not have supermodel proportions. This means I have the same cup size as a person wearing a 36 C bra, but the band on a 36 C is too large for me and rides up my back. A 34 is definitely average, and most of you probably have the band and cup sizes all screwed up from weight changes/natural growth. Get a bra fitting at Nordstrom. The bras are great quality and the people treat you like a superstar. It's kind of awkward but it will change your life. :)
Yeah, I was fitted at Victoria Secrets...I still wish I was closer to a B something :P

I have been fitted at VS every year.. I am not sure how accurate they are though... I think it may be time for me to go to a department store to get fitted. I used to wear a 36 then I lost some weight, so now I am in a 34, but now even that feels too lose... They told me at VS last year I was a 35 so I could wear either a 34 or 36, but now I am on on the smallest hook on my 34s and I think it is STILL too lose... Get fitted ladies!!!
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
