This is for you, kevin!  Kiss

So, I know my life has gone through some pretty big changes recently:

  • We recently expanded the office to include another attorney nearing retirement and her legal assistant.  The plan is to transition her clients to me; so, I am working with her and taking on more of a managerial role.
  • I started running again about 5 weeks ago and went from a huffing and puffing run/walk of about 2 miles to a nice 5-mile trail run last weekend.
  • New pup.  Enough said!
  • New office expansion came with new technology, namely a VOIP phone system that so far completely kicks ass but I'm still learning how to use it.
  • New specialty projects in the door that require me to get all wonky on fascinating minutiae like carrier and broker classifications under federal transportation law and licensure requirements for nurses accompanying patients on international travel.
  • Calorie camp!  Loving it.

I love change, but then again, I'm a dynamic personality and get bored with too much of the same old, same old.  So, from my standpoint, I couldn't be happier with things being a bit chaotic right now.  It keeps life interesting, right?

What kinds of changes have you gone through recently, good or bad?  How do you feel about change - do you seek it out?  avoid it?  tolerate it?  What do you do to cope when changes become a bit overwhelming?

Hmmm, the biggest change that I have made is being true to myself and not caring so much if I fit in with co-workers, our resort neighbors, etc.  I am being me and if people don't like me they can eff themselves.  I has gotten so tired of going along to get along and being nice when I just want to smack someone, not that I have started smaking people.  I think that you know what I mean.  I have been much happier and so has my husband.

I welcome change and I do seek it out.  Every year I learn to do something new, haven't decided what I am going to learn this year, but I've got the entire year to figure it out.  Well, considering that I have adhd, I am easily overwhelmed, I guess that I sit back, make a list, prioritize the list, make a g&t, forget what I did with my list and then just jump right back into the mess.

As it is, i'm just going to poke you with a sponge instead of a stick.

Is the spone on the end of a 10 foot pole.  Because I believe you are still under that self imposed restriction.
