I've frozen them whole, still in the peel, and then used them later for banana bread. Beware, KG, the skin turns dark brown when you freeze a banana. It's kind of alarming.

I wait 'til them get very brown spotty and then freeze them. Makes for sweeter banana bread. (Also used to buy them super cheap this way and go right home and freeze for muffins/bread.)
Pulling the blackened 'nanners out of the freezer is a bit weird if you aren't aware they will turn black.

Do you freeze them in the skin or peeled?
I freeze them peeled just because I don't let them thaw before I put them into my smoothies and it's a pain in the ass to peel a frozen banana.
If you're gonna make desserts with bananas I read that it's a good idea to freeze them. That browning is what you want so you get the best flavor and a moist end product.

Excellent idea. You could actually freeze a variety of fruits, then package them in individual smoothie portions with your vacuum sealer...hmmm....
WOOO! I am so stoked! My friend T is getting a gaming system of some kind (he doesn't know whether he's going for the xbox or the playstation yet) and it's going to live at my house!

Haha, quite! The good thing is, everything will be in his name, so any accounts etc. will be set up under him. That means I'll think twice before signing on since it's not technically mine... but woot!

Honestly, I've got enough other stuff going on that I can't imagine I'll be using it much when he's not around... The reading takes up a lot of my free time, and I'm out doing something with friends a couple of nights a week usually...
