What is your favourite part of Christmas?
No one favorite part; I love it all. Decorations, caroling, wrapping presents, giving presents, singalong Messiah.... all of it. I love it all.

Who comes to visit/where do you go for Christmas?
Most everyone is local. I don't go anywhere! My fiance comes here for Christmas from Ithaca, but this is the last year he'll do that, because we're tying the knot next year.

What is your favourite Christmas dessert?  (Cookies, squares, etc.)
Don't have one.

Who normally carves the turkey?
We have ham. :-)

Are you known for a certain Christmas treat/decoration/tradition?
I host the Christmas brunch for my bunch of friends.

What is your favourite Christmas song?
I love a lot of Christmas music, but have a particular warm spot for "Walking in the Air" (from The Snowman) and the Coventry Carol.

What are you wishing for this Christmas?
Peace on earth, and I'll keep wishing for it until it is achieved.

Do you donate to any charity at Christmas?
I donate year-round, so yes, I donate at Christmas, too.

What is your favourite Christmas memory?
The ones I'll make this season.

Star, angel, or other on top of your tree?
Sometimes an angel, sometimes a lobotimized St. Nick. I didn't know his head was so fragile, and apologize to him every year for dropping him! Sometimes both, because we sometimes have two (or three) trees.

  2. Who comes to visit/where do you go for Christmas? This year, no where.  I'll be making lots of calls to my friends and family in the West.

  2. Who comes to visit/where do you go for Christmas? The entire family on my mother's side.  If you want to meet everyone, just sit on her sofa on Christmas Eve.

  4. Who normally carves the turkey? We have roast beef and my brother carves it.
  5. Are you known for a certain Christmas treat/decoration/tradition? Our Christmas Eve open house at my mother's. 
  6. What is your favourite Christmas song? At the begining of the season, all of them, at the end of the season, none of them.

  8. Do you donate to any charity at Christmas? Yes, we collect money instead of exchanging gifts and give it to a homeless shelter and soup kitchen
  9. What is your favourite Christmas memory? Exchanging gifts with my cousins at my grandmother's house.  There were so many of us we'd draw names on Thanksgiving so each of us would have a gift to open.

  1. What is your favourite part of Christmas? Putting up the Christmas tree, decorating, parties...pretty much all of it.
  2. Who comes to visit/where do you go for Christmas? We have Christmas brunch at my in-laws, my daughter comes to my house for a few days and when I'm really lucky, my son and his wife come up too.
  3. What is your favourite Christmas dessert?  (Cookies, squares, etc.) Chocolate covered cherry cookies
  4. Who normally carves the turkey? We don't have turkey on Christmas.  We have a breakfast/brunch.
  5. Are you known for a certain Christmas treat/decoration/tradition? When my kids were living at home, I had a little scrooge tree every year that had small, inexpensive things under it.  They would get to open one every night until Christmas...it eliminated some of the begging to open "just one present early".  I also bake cookies for all my friends and spend an evening driving around town to deliver them. 
  6. What is your favourite Christmas song? I'll be home for Christmas...I have shed a lot of tears over that song, but I love it.
  7. What are you wishing for this Christmas? The usual...world peace, health and happiness.  I wish my whole family could be together for Christmas.
  8. Do you donate to any charity at Christmas? We sponsor a family at work and have a lot of fun buying the family gifts and their Christmas dinner.

My dad always worked on Christmas day, so we celebrated on Christmas Eve.  We would always go for a drive to look at all the Christmas lights and while we were gone, Santa would come.  I remember one year when we lived in Germany and we were sure we heard Santa's sleigh bells.

    midnight church service Christmas morning, and seeing all my family and friends.

    I go to my parent's house and my brother and sister go too, with all our "significant others" Loads of fun to be had!

    Sprinkle cookies.. yum!

    mom.. No one else has a clue how to use the electric knife

    I bake cookies and sweets and give tins to ll my close friends.

    Snow! and un-icy roads. Oh and that the war in Afganistan would stop so my boyfriends brothers wouldnt have to go over.

    I give money to the church who in turn donates to charity.. so I guess that could be counted.

    going to my grampie's house for Christmas every year when I was younger, and "helping" mom make cookies and decorate the gingerbread men

  9. What is your favourite Christmas memory? Lying in the back seat of my parents' car with my brothers in our sleeping bags while driving through the Trail of Lights. Now you have to walk through it. :(

I get to be with my family and see friends that have worked away from home for the year. Well all make efforts to meet up for one night.

Sadly my grandad passed away in April, so no-one will be visiting. I go to my parents, which is rather bizarre as I have a GF of 5 years and a son. Guess you can't beat your mum's cooking! ;)

    1. What is your favourite part of Christmas?  seeing my family all together!
    2. Who comes to visit/where do you go for Christmas? my husband and I make a week of it--we go visit my parents and both of his, and often my maternal grandparents (and huge extended family) too.
    3. What is your favourite Christmas dessert? I have to choose one?  Caramel popcorn, o'henry bars, peppermint bark, etc.
    4. Who normally carves the turkey?  my mom!  she makes a feast! 
    5. Are you known for a certain Christmas treat/decoration/tradition?  My sister, myself, and my sister-in-law all get new pajamas on Christmas eve.  I am big into the tradition and two years ago got everyone footie pajamas like we used to wear when we were kids.
    6. What is your favourite Christmas song?  Holly Jolly Christmas, and anything by Bing Crosby and Burl Ives
    7. What are you wishing for this Christmas?all the usual stuff, and to see my brother & sister-in-law more often (they live far away)

What is your favourite Christmas memory? we used to leave carrots out for the reindeer, and there would always be little carrot shavings left on the plate the next day, we'd open presents starting with stockings, and then my entire family would come over for lunch--about 30-40 people.  It was magical!
    10. Star, angel, or other on top of your tree? the tree my husband and I have has a star on top, when I was a kid we had a star, but I think it broke, so now my parents have an angel.

  5. Are you known for a certain Christmas treat/decoration/tradition? On Christmas Eve we have a seafood dinner...I always make the shrimp, crab, scallops. My brother makes me rum and coke while I cook and since we've all fasted in anticipation of dinner, I'm usually pretty tipsy before dinner.

  1. What is your favourite part of Christmas? Cooking, buying, wrapping and opening presents, decorating and spending time with family
  2. Who comes to visit/where do you go for Christmas? I go home for christmas from university and my grandfather spends christmas at our house every year (were his favorite...hehe)

  4. Who normally carves the turkey? my stepfather....he is also the one that cooks dinner. 
  5. Are you known for a certain Christmas treat/decoration/tradition? this year, like last year, I will be making all the desserts, and when my sister was younger I use to read "the night before christmas" before she went to bed
  6. What is your favourite Christmas song? As a kid I loved "grandma got run over by a reindeer" because my fathers parents lived next door to us and always walked home from our house on christmas eve..... 
  7. What are you wishing for this Christmas? free weights, polar heart rate monitor (i already ordered it) and new sneakers......you know you have been dieting to long when your christmas wish list includes all fitness stuff

As a kid, my father use to sneak outside before my brother and I went to sleep and ring bells so that we would think that santa was close......very exciting. I also loved hearing on the radio that santa had been spoted leaving the north pole.....hearing it still gets my heart racing....LOL

  9. What is your favourite Christmas memory? The one year I didn't go to the east coast for Christmas, and my sister, niece and I celebrated out here together without our parents.
  10. Star, angel, or other on top of your tree? Action figure.  I don't get a tree, but I decorate my potted palm tree.  This year I'm putting a Thundercat on the top, but it's always some kind of action figure from Goodwill.
