I probably won't shave my legs again until April.

Your turn.

I hated that brand!!  I just use soap and water for shave cream.  I've never bought cream or gel- sometimes I just use water

OMG how do you not cut yourself and/or get razor burn?! OUCH!

I have never cut myself or had razor burn since jr high - I've never known any other way to shave but to lather on soap and shave it away - works like a charm.

I always load up on razors when they're on sale. Last time I got around 25 for the equivalent of 7 dollars. When I shampoo my hair, I just spread the lather on my legs and arms, and shave in 2 minutes. When I do this, I don't get any burns or itching at all, and the shaved hair doesn't get stuck between the blades, instead it just flows into the shampoo. Cheap shaving cream alternative WIN.

I used to be very hairy, but somehow, after I switching from wax to razors I only need to shave 2x a week, and the hair is not nearly is thick; even though I'm always told waxing slows hair growth and makes it lighter. So my body hair is awkward.

/Btw I feel weird posting in the lounge/

Don't feel weird!!!!

I don't use shaving cream either; I hate the waxy feeling it leaves on my skin.  Reminds me of bar soap.  So, I just use a small amount of my body wash.

As far as my legs go, I shave them very infrequently - I just don't care about leg stubble.  And neither does my boyfriend, so I'm in the clear :)  I will make an exception for special occasions like getting dressed up to go to a wedding or something.  Oh, and when I do shave, rarely do I bother to go above the knee.  The hair on my upper legs is so thin and fine that it's barely visible.

I can't use a razor to shave my armpits or my lady bits; I have to use one of those big clunky electric wet/dry shavers (dry is my preference).  I use the "clipper" part, not the foils.  If I use a razor I get horrible ingrown hairs, pimples, angry redness, and scratch-myself-like-a-monkey itchiness.  So while I never get to enjoy that absolutely bare feeling, I'm much happier with a little bit of stubble than days of discomfort.

a kind of gross confession...

popping zits is more satisfying to me than bubble wrap.

Amen, sister.

I only shower every other day. If I could get away with it I'd shower 2-3 times a day but that's only because I'm neurotic, not because I think it's necessary.

I confess...I used to eat those little packages of butter. By themselves. 2&3 at a time. And wondered why I gained so much weight...pfft.

I'm always in the H&S forum, typing long science-y paragraphs. All of a sudden I found myself compelled to share my shaving techniques.

Guess I just have bursts of randomness from time to time...

So do all of us loungers! :D

I've used conditoner when I shave my legs or my pits, smooth and leaves them nice and soft instead of sore and red.

LOL!

A double life is perfectly acceptable on CC. Hell, you can even have two imaginary husbands if you want. And there's plenty of virtual booze and food here, too.

Welcome in The Lounge :-)

Taking my personal private "dirt" with me to the grave. ;)

We had a potluck at work today, but I pretended I forgot because I really didn't feel like cooking (some stressful family stuff happening).

I like hotdish as much as any midwestern gal, but it smells like a church basement in here right now.

Pulls in a pallet full of Miracle Gro's potting soil.
