people who eat "low fat" varieties

and i hate people who eat / make low fat cookies/biscuits

how about just accepting you shouldnt eat them

to me it shows lack of commitment

if you're gonna eat a cookie, eat a real one and stop kidding yourself that you

1. enjoy this low calorie equivelant

2. that you will keep the diet even though you're still addicted to the very things that got you in that state

fall off the wagon yes, stay on the wagon yes

dont hang off with your legs in the dirt

you'd be surprised but after not eating such things for a few months

you will realise you can (and i promise you) get pleasure from things you didnt believe were tasteful with out it being fried in 3 litres of lard or coated in a table spoon of sugar

your taste buds have been spoiled like that only child with millionaire parents and now that 16000 £ hatch back just simply isnt good enough

i am a firm believer in

if you cant moderate a particular food that is detrimental to your health, then its time to admit you can eat it at all

People can still eat an overall healthy diet if they have a muffin here and there. But if the muffin is low-fat, you probably won't notice a different in taste, and it's fewer calories for the treat.

I understand the point you are trying to make; that eating healthy food is better than being thin and eating junk but most people on this forum wouldn't try to survive off only 1000 calories of chocolate every day.

i just checked your profile and see you've just hit maintenence weight

come back to me in 12 months

and tell me if you're in general, happy

and if you are still at your weight.

I'm not expecting it to bring me extreme happiness or anything. I just want to feel more comfortable.

I'm not really looking to lose much more weight ( a few pounds at most), I'm mostly concentrating on toning.

I guess I'm aspiring for a more fit version of myself....? If that makes sense.

but eating these substitutes dont help

including previous points...

it also takes up calories you're allowed to have

would you rather have one half of a cookie and take up 100 calories

or put an extra 100 grams of ham on your sandwich?

its crazy

these people drink a glass of milk and eat achocolate bar for break fast

have acheese burger for lunch and chips ""oh but it was low calories cheese and i had half a portion of chips" and some sort of other dinner dense in calories

then moan they are still hungry

JBLARGHP-losing a few pounds wont really make a noticable diff, toning can make a diff but you dont necessaraly need to lose weight for that.

this brings me onto ANotHer thing

exercise

another thing people neglect completely, this angers me aswell

I've actually been hanging around at this weight for months but sure, I'll look you up a year from now because it's so important to me that I impress you with my achievements.

Wait...are you talking about people who eat candy bars and cheeseburgers or people who eat 100 calorie muffins? Nevermind, I don't care. I'm going to go eat a cookie.

...Dude. Guys. Stop responding to this hate/despise-machine.

32123 is obviously a troll.

Obviously.

eat that cookie

but if its a low calorie knock off version making you wish it was the real thing and that you would like 10 more

and you are having a war within your head on whether you could afford to eat another

then dont bother.

Meh, you would be surprised. It seems like once you get down to an ideal weight, you can notice even a few pounds. I really do see a difference in my stomach.

Don't get me wrong, I'm content with my current weight. It's just if I lost a few more pounds, I wouldn't be upset.

edit: I was responding to post #45

so yea, im a recovering anorexic, take it for what its worth but thats how it started w/ me, a little and a little more, its just a frickin number, its not going to make you happy a few lbs lower, its just not.  eat + tone, itll all be good.

Ok, but I'm not a recovering anorexic. I'm also at a healthy weight, and would still be at a healthy weight if I lost a few pounds. Like I said I'm CONTENT with my current weight. I'm not striving to lose a few more pounds, but if I do I would be happy.

I'm absolutely not planning on losing anything more than a few pounds.

okay, you're content with your weight

just to point out, the whole stomach thing is a body fat percentage issue, exercise will help but only in converting weight of fat into weight of muscle

and in my experience, its not that greater thing for awoman to have a completely flat stomach,

there should be something there

and i also bet, that you see it far worse than anyone else

and agruskin, thats the kinda part of apoint im trying to make

i didnt start out as a recovering anything, but you sound like a smart girl so stay healthy+be happy!

what?

happiness, being content with your weight

aiming for a weight thats healthy

losing weight for health reasons to be healthy

not for superficial reasons and aspiring to an image that you believe to be perfect.

^^ that point

ok, i agree, but i also think eating cookies and pb, and treats of whatever you like, everyday and yes in moderation, is "healthy" eating behavior too.

so whatgever floats your boat, im no healthnut or excercise perosn, im just me.

Thanks agruskin, sorry if I got a little rude...

32123, since when has having a completely flat stomach not been a great thing! haha.

I still don't see why losing weight to look better is a bad thing.
