RIP Dick.

I will always fondly remember Saturdays spent with friends watching American Bandstand.

RIP Dick.  Post stroke or not, New Year's Eve will never be the same.

The Best.

Awwww RIP DICK!

Awwwwww RIP :(

I'll never forget American Bandstand.

The end of an era.

“My greatest asset in life,” he said, “was I never lost touch with hot dogs, hamburgers, going to the fair and hanging out at the mall.”

ETA:  Anyone who admits that he's an opportunistic "fluffmeister" is okay in my book.

Many childhood memories of Dick Clark, American Bandstand and teenagers dancing.  RIP.  You will be missed.

He always stayed positive even after his stroke.  What a iconic man.

If you think about it, Dick Clark was kind of a pioneer in the music industry. American Bandstand was all inclusive, almost from the start, introducing an entire generation of kids to music their parents feared. He made it 'safe' to love black music, and acknowledge it as the basis for most of rock and roll, as we know it.

It isn't out of line, IMO, to include AB as one of the positive forces in the civil rights movement.

The New York Times' obituary doesn't go quite that far. :D

What's interesting is how they backed into it, and integrated simply because it was the 'right' thing to do. Black musicians were influencing many genres, so including black kids on the dance floor was simply sensible.

And there was no backlash, because it was already a show with 'that damn rock and roll music' that was destined to destroy the country, anyway. ;)

I always liked American Bandstand.

And what in the world will happen in December

He will be missed.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
