Films with bad endings...

Quote  |  Reply

What films have you seen where you were left disappointed or WTH! at the ending?

The first on my list has to be the film I watched last night "No Country for Old Men", for me it was like they ran out of inspiration as to how to end it...it could have been better.

Blair Witch Project. Worst. Ending. EVER! I can remember just like it was yesterday...sitting in the movie theater, the credits begin to roll. I was still sitting there, waiting for the movie to carry on, all the while people are getting up and leaving. Hub had to tell me that the movie was actually over, that the credits weren't part of the movie.

On second thought, not sure if that makes the movie stupid or ME stupid ;)

Also very disappointing, Million Dollar Baby. Loved the movie right up until the end. Now whenever I think of it, I want to punch something.

Australia (the film) saw it the other day, not so much a bad ending just a bit disappointed with the entire film, I thought it would be much better than it was, I thought it all looked fake, the acting, and the animations were so obvious...still watched it though :)

You know I kind of liked those 2 endings.

I couldn't get caught with that movie, but mostly because my husband couldn't stop with: "oh wow, now that's a good looking women".

I slept through blair witch. That and The Ring.

I thought it was worth it just for the beautifully gratuitous shot of Jackman and the bucket of water.

That being said, the ending was rather...meh.

Lol, my little sister got me to watch "The Orphan". At the end I was like "WTH, really????"

 Hillary Swank!??

That chick looks like a horse.

Great butt though.  Top 10 in butt and body...but then she turns around and it's like WHOA!

agree about City of Angels....  I guess it had to end that way, but still.

Blame it on the book. :)

I saw "Contagion" a few weeks ago and, while I usually don't mind that kind of ending, it felt like the movie just stopped before it actually "ended"... Like it was building up to pretty much nothing.
And, while I'm fine with Disney changing the original stories to some extent, I hate the ending to "The Little Mermaid".

Three Kings had one of the worst endings ever.

I liked Signs (except for the scene where Shyamalan thought he could act).  The Village was meh.  Lady in the Water was miserable to sit through.  And, one of my life's biggest mistakes was seeing The Happening in the theater

He kept going on and on. It made me hate the movie and hate her, just for being alive. He owns it and has asked me a million times to finish it, I just can't knowing he's drooling on some 100 lbs chick.  Same with anything and Halle Berry.

I have to admit  I hated Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. I mean.. that was a horrible ending. I mean wow. If you can't think of an intelligent ending, just add aliens! My husband then showed me the other Indiana Jones Movies and they rocked. I guess I have to agree with south park when they say that Indie got raped.

"Open Water"...very depressing ending.

To be fair, that movie sucked in its entirety.  The ending was just par for the course.

I did not expect William Wallace to die at the end of Braveheart. So that kind of pissed me off.

The end of The Departed was really, really good, but unexpected.

Pretty Woman      The end seems so forced and out of place.

William Wallace actually died a lot more horribly than in the movie. Braveheart is my fav. movie of all time.

The Happening?  Like I said, not my finest moment.  Lost two hours of my life that I'll never get back.

YES! I hate movies like this and "a perfect storm" where the real life events end in tragedy and there is speculation/Hollywood recreation of how people may have tried to survive.

At the beginning of these movies, there should be background of the story, that no one survived, and a statement about the movie being about how they died. It's such a let down if we don't already know. I think there would be more engagement from viewers this way, because they would wait to see how it happens.

I've gotta agree with knowan. Liked the Blair Witch ending and loved Million Dollar Baby- I cried like a baby at the end but was not disappointed.

This is why I heart Leo DiCaprio. I know a lot of people hate on him, but I loved him in this movie, Blood Diamond and Inception. I doubt he would ever get an Oscar though, because he will be forever thought of as "Jack" from Titanic.
