A handful of Republicans

Quote  |  Reply

I'm curious about something.  All the polls show the presidential race to be relatively even, with Obama leading by a few percentage points in almost all of the polls I've seen.   So let's say, based on that, the US is split 55-45 Obama to McCain.  Yet on this forum it seems almost everyone is liberal.  Why do you suppose most all CC'ers are Obama supporters?  Where are all the Republican calorie counters?

Seriously, though, how do you explain the imbalance?  Seems like either the Republicans are remarkably quiet on this forum, or it's going to be a surprise landslide in November.

Do republicans know how to use the internet?

(sorry, I couldn't help myself)

It wasn't all that long ago that someone was wondering if she were the only liberal:

Damn it jewels.. it's TOM here.. and now I want some smooth chocolate! grrr.. goin' to the store...

They make appearances from time to time.... actually I know of a couple Repubs on here who have decided to support Obama/Biden....  Hey and uhmm I liked a Republican by the name of Ron Paul... to me he is actually a republican... not what these clowns reinvented the party as....

There are some people here who've said they are republican but will be voting Obama.

There are a lot of vocal Liberals in The Lounge, but I wouldn't say there is a Liberal majority on all of CC.

imo I'd say it's pretty split here as well. It's just that the liberals are more outspoken so you notice them more.

Dare I say I'm here.  Always been Rep. but really for the first time don't know what I'm going to do yet. Not trilled with any of them. They were just here in my town for the debate last night and Obama left today, McClain left last night. Tn. is McClain territory anyways. I'm sorry to say I was happier with McClain until he picked Palin. If he wanted a women VP there were  others females  that were better qualified.  Will be interesting come Nov. 4th.

Stinkin' loud mouth Liberals.  This place is crawling with them.

 It's McCain, not McClain.

Sorry.  I just had to do it.

I believe that many Republicans have felt rejected by the Republican politicians in office.

My mother, a staunch Republican, despises Palin, and she also despises where the past eight years have brought us. I also have a great many conservative friends, and all of them do not want McCain/Palin.

I think, at this point, everyone is really looking a lot harder at the process than before, and people are more concerned about getting the right candidate than what party they belong to.. or perhaps, choosing the lesser of two evils.

There are a great many people - liberal, conservative, and moderates - who wish they had a third viable contender for the race, or that a different candidate would have won in the primaries.

Flag-waving, gun-toting, God-fearing, patriotic troop-supporting, McCain/Palin-voting pro-life Republican here.

 Republicans are troop supporting?? o.O

You just see those who talk the most... Sadly, in this country today if you espouse conservative values on almost anything you are villified, so many people are quiet.

Agreed.
