Lol, sorry, it's like a thick sticy preserve- like savory jam? You basically boil up all your veg and stuff until it goes down into a thick sauce then jar it and let it mature- it goes with cheese and crackers, stuff like that. This year it's spicy tomato.

I like the word chutney........my mom used to make homeade jams and preserves. She would pretty the jars up and give them out to ppl as christmas gifts(neighbors and non family) make an easy and cheap gift for ones you really dont care about but still feel obligated to give=)

yes exactly like a thick salsa! And we're giving it out for christmas to people we DO care about cos we're so broke!!! Those we don't like but feel obligated, well, this year they can whistle for it.

Jenna those type of homeade gifts are actually some of my most favorite.........I sadly miss them no one really does the homeade gift thing anymore in my family and relm of friends. When I make stuff and give it to them they dont seem like they want any of it so I quit a few yrs back...........

Yay, just managed to book a cheap hotel for a Maroon 5 gig in London next month! This is great, it means we can stay out late and not run for the last train home! Sad little thing but it's made my day.

My friend is ever so slightly obsessed..... this is the first time they have toured the UK and we're only going to one show, rather than all of them! Can't wait.

My mom and I both do that...she makes homemade soup and homemade bread for ppl in her office. ANd For the last few years Ive been making homemade cookies and candies for the guys in my office. Hell, i cant afford gifts for 15 employees LOL
