The Accolade - Symphony X, Beautiful Metal Ballad

Ghostfire by Tiger Army. Now it's Hate Me by Five Finger Death Punch. Looks like coming up next is Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by The Animals.

Passed the Point of No Return - Andrew Lloyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera, sang by Gerard Butler and Emmy (Forget her last name...)

Now Playing: Placebo-Protege Moi

I can't stand it!!  I dated a guy once who played upright bass for the city's symphony and also in a jazz band - I tried to go see him at the bars play but it just got so painful- luckily I met the man I was to marry about this time so I didn't have to tolerate it too much

A helluva lot more than I like modern blues. One of my favorite spots in the NW U.S. became a free-form jazz/blues club.

I understand that anyone can play blues, but...for some reason, I don't wanna hear an 18-year old kid play a song about being cheated on by his "low, mean mama." O.o

just had some edward sharpe & the magnetic zeros on. soon it'll be sarah mclachlan's wintersong - but not quite yet :)

I wonder does anyone know any Persian musician names?  I was watching the commercial Lowe's pulled from the "All American Muslim" show and loved the music - it brought back some fond memories of Ali who lived in the apartment across the hall from me and his morning and evening "chants", prayers and singing.  He was such a nice Muslim.  I wonder how he is doing?  wonder if he did go back to Iran like he said he would after completing school.

hell yea

in honor of the passing of Jeff Hanneman of Slayer : Raining Blood.

Last night my boyfriend and I discovered we have a mutual crush on actor-musician Ryan Gosling. Ever since then we've been listening to Ryan's band, Dead Man's Bones, with visions of threesomes dancing in our heads.

Also, electro swing. So much electro swing.

earlier i was listening to lord huron's "time to run" over and over. now i'm listening to a combination of dragon-boat drummers and some local hip-hop kid at the youth festival that's going on in the square below my balcony. later, when i let my bff run the ipod and dock while i grill, i'll probably be listening to the lumineers, followed by nina simone or natalie merchant.

Haha

Not actively listening to anything at the moment, but my brain is alternating between Barenaked Ladies and Mr. Bungle, so that gives you an idea of both my listening preferences and my brain. XD
