I'm certain that I've found the man that I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with but I'm anxious to get married and start a family. Just curious; How'd things happen for you?
We dated about 2 1/2 years before we got engaged this past Christmas! I knew long before then that i wanted to marry him though. we're getting married this august!
Dated 3 years, engaged for 1.
Edit: Friends for a year before dating, married at age 28.
6 days and 11 hr dating. 3 month engagement.

Friends for about four years, dated less than a year (knew we wanted to get married within a few months of dating), formally engaged for a year and three months, and we've been married four wonderful years.
The biggest suggestion I can make is don't push your relationship, everything will fall into place when the timing is right.

So, just over 3 years for dating and 10 months for engagement.
Met in 1996. Dated until 2000. Broke up until 2003. Dated and then lived together until 2006, when we got engaged in October. Married in May of 2007.
3 months. today is our 66 month aniversary, may 19 is 5 years married.
Began dating may 2007; engaged dec 2009 (totally surprised...thought we'd be dating a whole other year); married march 2011 @ age 29 (3 months before my 30th).
