Looks like I'm finally going to get my money back!
I don't know how many of you will remember when I posted the thread below, but for those who are interested over a year later it looks like I may just be going to get my money back...yah
I had all but given up hope I had contacted the BBB and after weeks of false promises I gave up on them ever resolving the issue.....actually wasn't too impressed with them they said it was resolved because the company had offered a replacement but the credit code didn't work so I was still out of pocket and had nothing to show for it.
Anyway some months later I received an unexpected e-mail from the WA police department for the area where the company is asking me to confirm that this company owed me...turns out that I was not the only one as is often the case anyway the Detective (fraud department) ordered the company to shut down their web page and worked with the owner to refund people.
I was very scepticle about it all and told the Detective as much, however they said that they had received tracking ref numbers from customers that cheques were on there way to them, so I figured I would wait and see.....
waiting.....
a few months on still nothing had appeared so 2 nights ago i e-mailed the detective again to give an up date that as yet i had still been unable to contact the owner of the company nor had i received the refund, they e-mailed me back saying they would get back to the owner for me and this morning in my in box was an e-mail from UPS with a tracking number it says i should have it my next week...
now me being me i am keeping my feet firmly on the ground and will not be thrilled until i have the cheque and it has cashed but it's looking promising.
Now i'm wondering if i will get a full refund or partial.....taps fingers on desk
we are talking at the time of ordering nearly $1000 here which then was just about £500 but the exchange rate has changed since then so i maybe out of pocket a bit but you know i will just be thrilled that i got at least some of it back.

Yay! I'm glad you finally have some good news. I'd have been livid - that's quite a lot of money!

I can tell you I was rather upset about it but just felt that my hands were tied with it being so far away, but it looks like a little nudge from the police has done the trick.
Yeah it is me in the avatar but it was one of the girls i work who took it i think she should have come a bit closer lol
