I think I need to talk to HR. I heard that if you are with this company for five years, they'll pay for a masters degree. I'll have my five year anniversary here next February. I need to know whether that rumor is true.
Employers paid 90% of my tuition right through completion of my Master's. Not so much fun working full time and going to school but far less expensive. The down side is that the school has to be near where you live. I scored high enough on the GMAT to get in practically any MBA program yet I chose not to go because the MBA program at the local college sucks. Who wants an MBA from Podunk U.?
*glances at Wall, "Podunk State"*
pfft, not me.
Aww barbar. :( I hope Louie is okay.
Now I wanna go home and snuggle Fat Cat and Furball.
That kind of sounds like a cartoon.

Esses - I haven't asked anyone to write a reference for me yet. I keep forgetting to take the form to work with me (I only work on Saturdays). I really must be brave and do it.
Oh, set the the form right on top of your clothes for saturday, or tuck it into your lunch bag. That way you won't forget! Dooo eeeet!! You would be so wonderful at the shelter.

Most companies would reimburse the tuition if the classes taken are for an advanced degree and you have passing grades.*considers "most"*
*doubts*
My old company would do it if the degree was in something they wanted you to have (engineering, accounting, etc., depending on your department).
Sadly, they won't let you go for just any advanced degree.

Ha, my problem is that, though I'm good at what I do, it's not what I want to continue doing. Nobody is going to pay for a degree for me so I can leave for a different industry ;)
Of course, what I WANT to do requires more luck than extra training anyway. I'm already qualified aside from the experience.

This morning I find out I've been royally screwed by a vendor
Just now I find I've been royally screwed by my own people.
All of which will result in a preeminant screwing by the customer tomorrow.

Taking him to the vet was a fiasco and a half b/c some jerk let his standard poodle jump on my cat carrier. So the vet couldn't even touch Fat Cat because he was so freaked out.
However, once he was home he went back to normal. The only time he smacks you away is if you rub his belly (and his smack is kind of like the smack on the head Ziva and Denozo and McGee get on NCIS - so Fat Cat's real name is now Gibbs)... and isn't torturing furball. We are going to try to get him into a cat only vet... so we don't have another dog fiasco. He is terrified of dogs. We're taking it one day at a time and hoping to keep him.
Furball, however, still hates his guts and hisses like crazy if he gets too close.
