Military Ladies

So i was just wondering if any of you are involved with the Military in any way, like myself?  i thought this would be a good convo starter :)

my boyfriend is currently in the Navy (has been for 8 years now) he's a Chief Petty Officer 1st Class (try saying that ten times fast) and is currently on shore duty as the local recruiter in charge at the local station. we are preparing for a big move this December (provided the detailer actually gets Gary a spot where he has requested to go) to Kings Bay, Ga.. (well around the area, anyhow) as he has to go back to sea duty by way of a submarine (yep, he's a Nuke) this will be my first big move away from my family - the last one (not with my current boyfriend) was only two hours away, so i'm very anxious to say the least! incase you may be wondering -- we have been together for about a year and four months... we're not engaged, we are in a serious relationship though :)

I also have a really close friend in the Marines who is currently stationed in Iraq. he has a blog via out local newspaper (if interested http://blogs.citizen-times.com/blogs/index.ph p?blog=11)  its been really hard not having him here to talk too as he has always been the friend that i counted on no matter what.

One of my co workers is a Marine reservist as well...

and for a little more history, my dad served in the Navy years ago so he automatically has a brotherhood towars my boyfriend in that respect!

so you could say i'm a little tied into the Military life....

I've been in the Army for 8 years now (soon to be 9 in September).  I went to basic training in Fort Jackson too (2002).  ughgh Tank Hill!
