1/6: National Shortbread Day and Bean Day

Quote  |  Reply

Hello!

Fact of the Day: The rude act of raking foods into one’s already full mouth with chopsticks is disdainfully called komibashi in Japanese.

Quote of the Day: "An actor is a guy who, if you ain't talking about him, ain't listening."
- Marlon Brando

Today in History: January 6, 1838 - The telegraph was demonstrated for the first time in public at the Speedwell Iron Works in lovely Morristown, New Jersey. The person demonstrating the new invention, the telegraph’s inventor was, of course,Samuel F.B. Morse.

Today is also Armenian Christmas

I have written, "I love being wet." at least ten times and then erased it before sending.

lmao.

I'm mature.

LOL @ Jugs and being wet.

Buggz, you are such an innovator. I often wonder how many people use 'bedit' without knowing the origin. :)

I'm going to guess that there are quite a few on CC. Tho it does make me wonder if they also do it on other sites. That would be really funny trying to explain it. *recalls* Didn't Kallie actually say it out loud at a meetup to Mark & then have to explain what it is.

I have said it IRL and people used to look at me strangely.  Now I know a few that use it.  I doubt they have any idea how it started.

This is anthropology major, who also happens to be a guy.  I can't understand why the apple gene exists. I have yet to find a male that finds that desirable.  I'm not trying to be mean, but pear implies fertility.   On a subconscious level males desire women who can successfully pass the male's genes.  Wider hips means there's a greater likelihood of successful birth.  I really wish I had known this before.   I thought I was all about personality and looks didn't matter.  Then I met the current apple shaped girl I'm dating.  I didn't know it was such a big deal.  Now I'm stuck in relationship with her and all I do is dream about pears.

Thinking it's lunch time. Later all. :)

Happy lunching, waffles.

it did encourage me to find out what shape I am.  I believe I am an hourglass.  I could be wrong.

Well I didn't change any of the original post's wording. That would be frustrating to look to see what the original words were & not understand why they are the same.

lunch time with the fam!

BBL

Wowzers! Just finished billing/payments and bid hunting for the condo association! I love when I get that crap out of the way.

Time to take the dogs to the park, then off to work I go!

*reads reads*

Sorry, I stepped out for a minute...

Hubby called me and said he was coming to see me at work... I figured he was probably just bored or something at home and wanted to take a drive... He gets here, and he's in a full-blown suit - tie and all...

I was like.... what's going on? He had a job interview near my work at 10:30 this morning... He didn't want to tell me because he didn't want to "let me down" if he didn't get the job... That made me feel horrible! I told him that would NOT let me down, but I was so proud of him, etc... Poor guy..

Then he took me out to lunch :-)

Awe.. That is so nice he took you out for lunch!  My fiancee (how come I can't get the little ' mark on fiancee?) never takes me out to lunch.. he works downtown and I work in Longwood.. not that those places are super far away from each other, but for lunch, probably a little too much to ask from a boss that wants you back in an hour.

Yeah... I work about 25 minutes away from home, so, I usually eat at work.. but his interview was really close to where I am, so he surprised me :)

I love working 5 minutes from home. ^_^

I get to go home everyday for lunch. :) Made a very yummy taco salad for lunch.

mmm sounds great foffs!
