Does anyone have a problem with this? Yes, no? Why or why not? Don't care?

Thoughts/opinions/discussion.

Aww, crap.  I just googled the pictures too.  I was expecting it to be gross and I was expecting to feel just like everyone else about them being posted publically (and I still do)..  but I was NOT expecting to burst into tears and feel sick.

I'm now regretting the Chipotle chicken bowl I had at lunch...   :(

(((((((meta)))))))))

I do, however, love the picture of the little hand grasping the surgeon's finger during in-vitro surgery.

I have no explanation for how I feel, I just think it's so incredible.

Oh, no no..  don't feel bad.  I just think this hits home for a lot of people.

I'm just experiencing a bit of mixed emotions on it.  I'm as outraged as everyone else, but I'm also really feeling the beauty in the expression of the tragedy (if that makes any sense).   I still think this is something I would keep closer to my heart.  I wouldn't really feel comfortable with the world being able to Google search my expressions of pain.  Although, I have expressed my pain a few times in this forum...  so I am perhaps a rambling hypocrite.

?   I'm stumped.  I am sitting right on top of a stump. Totally stumpified.

I may be oversharing. I miscarried years ago when the baby was 19weeks. I never thought to take pics or anything. But I was having issues and didn't really even see the baby. I never looked at the Duggar pics because I figured it was of the whole baby. I knew I couldn't handle that. The hands and feet make me sad but I am ok. It doesn't matter how many kids you have, the baby you lose is heartbreaking.

Now, baby butts on facebook are a do. Baby private fronts are a don't.  :)

The things that make us human are also, often, the things that make us humane.

I can totally understand taking the pictures. I just think they should be kept private for family and close friends.

I would never post nude baby photos online, as there are too many pervs. I can see keeping them as a private family photo, but only if the baby is really small. Personally I would prefer pictures that are more covered at least the boy/girl bits.

When I saw the photos the family member did (they were almost identical to the duggars)

I couldn't and still can't describe how I felt.  It was just..... weird to me.

Exactly.  That's exactly how I feel...    it's indescribable.

I don't think it is appropriate because you never know what the next person is thinking, how do you know that the wrong person won't see the pictures.  My son and his wife just had a baby and refuses to post pics as he is petrified of the wrong person seeing them, I don't blame him. Unfortunately, there are way too many weirdos in this world and I'm not trusting enough to know absolutely sure that everyone I know is upstanding, you just never know.

the duggars posted pictures of their miscarried baby?

:(

i just googled it because i didn't know they did!!!

it's just two pictures - one with the baby's hand and another with the babies feet.

Talking about sikos:

A family representative said the photos were intended for private use only and that some were released without the Duggars’ consent.

I did not see the "nude" photos, but watched the video of mom to daughter Jubilee, I saw the "tasteful" pics and I have too much compassion to not understand the grief the mom is feeling. All I can do is feel bad for her.  This is her way of dealing with her grief.  I do not see a hint of distastefullness in her motive for posting this.  Sorry. I have been there, with the grief, and devoted a webpage to my mom, I didn't care if the world saw it, and saw how hurtful I was that she died, my apologies to her, some people would probably have thought that was distasteful too.  Well wake up people, this is some people's way of helping their grief, and I truly do not think this woman was not in her right to do so.  Now seeing what actually happened, that their baby died - changes my whole outlook on how I feel about posting her photos.

I'm not cool with the nude pics - they are great to show to family though.

While I agree that the bum pictures are cute and all, think of your kid in 15 years. What if facebook is still around? Those things get lost in the black hole that is the internet and you can never be sure they won't surface somewhere else. For my own kid's privacy, I wouldn't post nude pictures of my baby on the internet.

I also agree that some weirdo could get his hands on them and use them for nefarious purposes, but if that were the case, all pictures of babies could be a problem.

I actually learned in my LAW class that this is illegal and could be labeled as child pornography. They could get in trouble, whomever posted the photos.

I only saw 2 photos, the hand and the foot, are there more?

Exactly! It's funny to me that people don't realize that some law enforcement might see this as child pornography. Back when people used film a lot more, there were more than a handful of cases of parents who had taken innocent pictures of their children (in the bathtub, wrestling with their parents, etc.) and some people took it as sexual. Now that people are putting the pictures online (no matter how innocent)it could be seen as dissemmination of child pornography. Not that I agree with it, but you really are putting yourself out their for possible charges.

That said, I adore the black and white artistic photos, but once full genitalia is shown, I think it should just be kept between friends offline.

Know this - even if you have SUPER tight privacy settings, do you know EVERY one of your friends are 100% wholesome and non-pervy? It is impossible to know - most pedophiles remain undetected because they appear to be normal.

Also, is there a chance they are like my mom and 'steal' photos they think are cute, only to repost them other places for people to see? Once that photo is out there, it is impossible (nearly) to get it back. You post it to 30 friends on FB, and next thing you know it is allover tumblr, youtube videos, animated gifs, etc. And yes, pedophiles can get their nasty on from the thousands of photos already out there, but would you really want to take the chance they are getting their pleasure from your child? Just saying...

I think Gia was responding to the OP (posting nudes could be labeled as child pornography)  but xizzi got confused and thought she meant the people who posted the duggars pics without permission were disseminating child pornography (not the case).  At least, that is how I interpreted it :)

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
