Am I REALLY That Old?!

Ok, I do not pretend like I am some spring chicken or any of that hogwash- I got a Facebook only about a month ago and chose to neglect it like the unwanted child locked in the attic we feed fishheads every other Tuesday- but I have no freakin' clue what kids these days say.

Why does everything have to be shortened? In my day we typed out our words, none of this smh fml qft eta horsefeathers! What does it mean? And Four Loko? What happened to speedballs for your 'balance' drugs?

Sorry for the ramble, I feel old and I hate it.

OMG. me too. Like, WTF Mate!

I, too, was fb illiterate until about 6 weeks ago.  I didn't feel like I was missing anything, though.  I like the games there :)

My take, It seems like the world is spinning faster and faster and in order to 'keep up' we buy into fast ways- shortened text - faster downloads -fast cars - fast food, etc.  I'm glad it was slower when I was young.  No internet or cell phones (I know I'm giving away my age, lol) but it was a good time.
