Out of "Plus Sizes" onto Regular. Where do you shop?
I'm in a really awkward situation.
I just lost 125 pounds (woo hoo) and I am out of the plus sizes and onto the regular sizes (at least judging by my baggy pants I am).
It wasn't until recently that I found out Junior sized jeans do NOT fit my body because I'm not a teen. I have hips and a butt! But Junior stores have all the cute clothes. I'm 23 :)
Where does everyone buy jeans? Like cute hip women sized jeans that I can go in store and try them on?
All I'm asking is for some dark washed, boot cut, denim stretch jeans.
I'm so lost! And oh so uncomfortable walking into regular sized stores. LoL.

monostat makes this non chaffing gel you apply to your skin.
it was great to use when i had to deal with thigh rubbing.
silk expressions (or whatever they are called) dont rub that much...
and i second the levis 515 for coming out of plus sizes.

x17star17x - does anyone even wear nylons here in AZ? I'd sooner go without and expose my pasty-skinned legs than wear nylons in the desert! That's just crazy!
Congratulations! I am the original blue jeans girl, so I love your question! I'm pretty little, but I know all about having hips and thighs. I've always been curvy, and honestly, I'm slowly learning to LOVE it.
They're expensive, but the best ones I have found for my shape (hips, thighs and what my personal trainer refers to as a "tail feather") are Lucky Brand Jeans (I wear the Li'l Maggie). Like I said, they definitely cost more than a Gap or Old Navy jeans, but they also look fantastic--there's something about slipping into a pair of jeans, looking into the mirror, and realizing that my ass never looked so good in denim!
This website can help you find a location:

Also, stick to boot cut or flares as they balance out the thigh and give you a leaner look. Hope this helped!

Hi Star, if you like the DNKY, then you must be built very similarly to me, because that is one of my favorite brands too! Did you get the Soho style? The only complaint I have with them is that the stretch bags out too soon. But they are oh-so-comfy.
If you like DNKY, then here are some other brands I like that you might also like:
- Jcrew
- Gap Long & Lean
- Ann Taylor Loft - they usually have one or two dark-washed styles each season.
- Levi's - but try the Junior styles.
- Target - don't knock it until you try it. :-)
Also check out BCBG if you have one near you ... right now they have a pair of slacks that aren't jeans but they could easily pass for dark-washed trouser-style jeans, and the cut is very flattering. Comes with a matching jacket but the jacket was way too long for me. I passed these up the other day, but now I'm kicking myself... they'd be perfect for work.

I'm totally seeing you in a skirt too, Star!!
Even if you hate Old Navy, check them out for A-line skirts. Can't beat the price, especially if you're still shrinking. A few months back I scooped up a couple of eyelet skirts that are just adorable, so comfy, and work with everything - I just throw them on with a tee shirt and a jean jacket and I'm set.
Looking at your photos, your body type is perfect for an A-line skirt that hits at the knee or just above or just below. (Actually, nearly everyone looks good in an A-line style).
Wear it with a top that skims the upper body and perhaps accentuates your cleavage, if you want to play that up. Something to draw attention to your skinny waist and draw the eye up away from your legs, if you don't like them. The A-line will balance you out top to bottom and I suspect will be quite flattering.
Ann Taylor Loft is also a great place to find skirts, but you'll pay more.

Charlotte Russe's Refuge brand are the only jeans that consistently fit me perfectly. I have very wide hips and have difficulty finding any jeans that fit right. They are cheap, too. Sometimes I can get a pair for just $30.
Lucky jeans do make your ass look great!! I thought I was the only person that knew that.
Fallingstars--isn't it great. It's like they lift and shape at the same time. Plus, I think it's pocket placement too. Regardless, they are definitely my feel-good jeans!
lift and shape...yes! They are totally worth the extra $$.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
