*sigh*  i don't actually want to quit but it's making me miserable everyday and i can't work for this particular supervisor any more.  i just can't

but i'm not sure yet how i'm going to tackle getting out of this with the least damage to my career.

no there's places i can go within my dept or within the company if i wanted but there's a few factors that make me want to be careful about moving off this project

1)  i moved around a lot in my first few years in this company that, now that i've found a dept that i like the type of work it does, i'd hate to "quite" the program i'm working in it and give me the look of being flighty (though i have been working this particular program for my dept for 2 years now)

2)  i don't know if there's anyone else in my dept that can or wants to take this over, can't just leave and not have someone else to work it.

3)  been so involved with this particular program that i'm not totally sure of what other jobs and opportunities are going on at the moment.  i'd work with my real supervisor to figure that out, but i have to be sure first that i want to leave this

4)  even though he is the main source of why i want to leave, i don't want the supervisor i'm working for right now to have a bad last impression of me abandoning this program because of him.  i will still have to work with him as i stay in this dept.

i was craving avocado so when my dad decided on Steak n Shake for dinner, i got a guac burger. it was so good!
