Just wanted to add my condolences.  When we had to let Jerry(our German Shepard) go we were glad we got to stay with him for those last few minutes and know that he was finally without pain.

Aww... I can't imagine how you must feel right now. Glad to hear that it was peaceful. *hugs*

(((((((((((cptbunny))))))))))))))

I know how it feels. It's been 2 years and sometimes I still get the urge to cry. Life will never be the same... not to say you can't move forward, but you will never forget him and vice versa. Don't worry, you'll see him again one day. I understand how heartbroken you are... no matter how old they are or how long you've had them, you still miss them all the same.

You're in my thoughts.

(((hugs)))

I know Charlie had been through a lot. And you did all you could for him; above and beyond the call of duty! Many prayers for you.

I am so sorry for your loss.  From what I can tell, you did absolutely everything possible to give him a great life, and one that ended with peace and dignity.  So, as low as you feel right now, I hope you have the small comfort of knowing that all the pain you are suffering and have suffered in his illness has been so that he would not have to.  He couldn't have asked for a better family :)

Sorry for your loss, losing a pet that is very much a part of your family is super hard. I lost my Chico 3 years ago we had him for 15 years he had skin cancer. Your lil Charlie is up there doing what he loves in no pain.

Hugs.

RIP Charlie.

Aw Bunny, I'm so sorry. Your Charlie and my Butter can now meet and be friends. I know he's waiting on the rainbow bridge for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss Bunny. I just looked through your gallery at his pictures. He looked so truly happy and loved!! And the pictures of him with the bandana on? So adorable!! Lots of hugs through this tough time and I just know he's somewhere wonderful looking down on you and thanking you for the amazing life.

Im so sorry for your loss. I recently went through the samething on Dec 15th with our sam (black lab). I couldnt be left alone the first 2 days because all I would do is cry.  My sam and your Charlie are now at the rainbow bridge having a good ole time. hugs to you!

Oh! This really is horrible. My golden retriever (beautiful, beautriul dog) passed on October 23, 2009 two days before his sixth birthday because of lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes). He was the love of my life and I would cry every day for about three months, even though I knew putting him down was the right thing.

I never thought I would get over it, but now four months later, I feel there was a reason, even though I don't know what that reason is yet.

Get well soon and don't rush things!

Here's the Rainbow Bridge Poem. It comforted me at Butter's passing. Bunny, may it comfort you too.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

my budgie died the other day, although people dont understand why it made me so sad cause "it was only a small pet"

but the size species of pet wasn't important to me.

I understand. I've mourned and cried many a time for the many little hamsters I've lost. Their lives are too freakin' short. :(

my condolences

Im so sorry.. My sister lost a pet last September. To this day, there is not a day that goes by, that I don't think about him.

Details are in my Journal...

RIP!

Bunny, I am so very sorry for your loss.  I have a 6 year old beagle, Cooper.  He's had more than his fair share of health issues.  With every issue, it becomes more difficult for him to recover.  I know at any time he could be gone. Please know that I will be thinking of you & praying for you during this terribly difficult time....

((((((Bunny))))))

You've got me crying like a girl here!

RIP Charlie.  And prayers go out to you, Bunny, that your grief will ease.

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
