Yeah, you, with your yellow shirt that you just had to buy.  We were kindly waiting for the shopper before us to finish bagging her groceries before we stepped up to the self-checkout when you decided you were going to waltz right in front of me, scan your shirt, and pretend we weren't there.

Not only did you not apologize for being so rude, you made it out to be our fault for our patience with someone else's purchase.  I'm sorry I was raised with some form of manners and respect.

I hope you spill chocolate on your shirt.  Jerk.

Sincerely, ME.

Dear Guy in the SUV,

I apologize for not sprinting across the street at the crosswalk thus making you bring your vehicle to a complete stop. See that octagonal red sign? It has the word "stop" on it for a reason.

I notice you had your children in the car. I hope they absorbed the lesson that swearing at cursing at strangers is an appropriate way to deal with stress. That way when they get older they can treat you to your own abuse. I would advise however that going through stop signs puts them at a bit of a risk for death by car accident. I would hope that the luck they have experienced so far continues so that they make it to adulthood.

Next time you threaten to kick my ass I hope you actually take action and step your fat ass out of the car. I won't promise to fight back but I will arrange overnight accomodations for you at a nice hotel room complete with a stainless steel toilet and excellent security.

Anyways, good luck as you speed off to KFC or whatever white trash destination you're headed for.

Yours Truly,

Floyd Flanders*

*That's my dog's name--the guy had to stop because my dog decided to sniff a smell in the middle of the street. Seriously, he got mad because my dog made him stop at a stop sign.

You have SOME nerve, aghasd, making that man STOP at a STOP SIGN. Man, ol, man.... the nerve of some people....

;)

Does anyone else get the feeling that some people need to slow down for two minutes and take a lesson in humility?

To all of the people who've told me they're desperate for a job but refuse to apply for fast food or any kind of food service because you want to do something classier with your life, to hell with you.  You're the ones who need to the most.  Maybe you'll learn to respect the people who are serving you, especially when the service is a little less than spectacular because it's busy.

And if you're "so desperate for work", you'll take anything.  Even working the fry station at Burger King.

LMAO.... I used to work for Comcast and I hated them for letting the Canadians go. People would call in and say if you aren't an agent from Canada, I'm not talking to you.

Since then, they've almost all been moved off shore. Hence why I'm looking for a job. :)

So yeah, f you comcast. (I comped 3 CC'ers bills before my last day there) lol

Last year when I was sixteen and had just gotten my license a few months earlier my car broke down at a stop sign.  There were a few cars behind me and I freaked out because I had no idea what to do.  I couldn't turn my car on so I didn't know how to get it to the side of the road.

So I turn my hazards on and most people get the clue and drive around me except for one guy who decides to be a totally **** and honks an obnoxious amount of times and proceeds to swear at me at the top of his lungs before finally driving away.  It was probably the most horrifying moment of my life at that point.  I don't get how someone can be so rude to another person.

To the woman looking at me like I have no right what-so-ever to order a special made meal, Get over yourself. Not all of us have the metabolism of a horny jack-rabbit so if I ask for a grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo, no bun, then please dont make snide comments about how I should have thought about that a long time ago. I know I am over weight but do you know how stupid you sound? Oh yeah and keep eating the KING sized fries. One day we will meet on here.

...someone said that to you?

Y'all have more patience than I do. Last person that Gave me a Dirty look in Wal-Mart Self Check out line wont do it again.

oh, and to all the college kids and your parents,

I can't freakin wait until 1 month from now when you stop driving around and just stay on campus/home. You suck at driving in a strange town and I hate being behind you when you're lost. There are only like 2 turns to get from the thruway to the college, it isn't that hard. Oh and I will most definitely be avoiding walmart more than usual for a while.

Really? =S  If you were in a strange town and didn't know where you're supposed to turn to get to a certain place, wouldn't you slow down to make sure that you're on the right street? Especially since you're supposed to slow before making turns in the first place?

I'm with you on that one. When I worked in fast food I got so much abuse, and when I switched to a different retail job - people were suddenly 90% nicer (though you still get the occasional jerk). Why do people think it's okay to be rude to people serving their food? I always try to be extra nice because I remember.

Yeah, I used to work in a wine store / bar 1-2 days per week as a fun side job (in addition to my full-time job), doing tastings and stuff.  Most people were really cool but there were a lot of people who were really snotty and looked down on me - apparently because I was the one pouring their wine.  The store was in a really nice neighborhood where a lot of rich people lived. People always assumed I hadn't gone to college, etc. and they were always surprised to find out I lived in the same neighborhood as them - I guess they expected that i lived in the projects or something and commuted in to the wine store, LOL.  (And no, we weren't rich, we just rented that house but we could never afford to buy it.  :) )  Oh well, I tried not to let it get to me.

Unfortunately I have heard that and things much worse said about my size and the foods I have ordered. People can be pure evil when they want.

Couldn't possibly be. I would never go out of my way to make anyone feel bad. The lady at the Self Check-out that gave us a dirty look was mad because we got in line behind her when she wanted to get out.  My Mother, Pregnant sister and I had no problem with moving to let her out. Instead of her asking or even hinting to get out of line she gives us the dirtiest look ever. Why should I feel bad for saying something to her when she was the one that was rude?

Sooo Randomly 3 you can Direct that Elsewhere. I dont feel bad for standing up for myself.

I worked in the food business for awhile before I got into the job I am in. It's crazy how people act. I am very pleasant with food service employees even when things aren't going my way because I know I was once there.

To the two- or three-some joined at the hip:

I know you guys don't want to see the backs of each other and just want to talk story while meandering down an aisle just gazing at items.  Or maybe the other person is just walking on the side just to make it harder for him/herself to get a closer look at the products that you're both looking for on the same side of the aisle.  But guys, you are not the only ones in the store.  Would it be so hard to walk single file so that I can walk by to get the product I want from the shelf I know it's from?  It would also help you focus on finding the product faster anyway.

Kthx.

PS It also helps that you stand BEHIND the other person and not just turn sideways...

That is likely the funniest letter I have ever read in my lifetime.  Thanks!

Every time I see this thread it looks like "To the nude girl at the self-checkout." and I think "Awwwwww, yeah!"
