The Pound - for silly creatures great and small

Quote  |  Reply

Ok, this is a thread where all the people who are crazy about their furbabies can dump their stories, pics and whatnot. Please feel free to make up rules and add funny links, furniture etc. to furbish this so far empty place. I'll add them as we go along.

Rules:

  • you pick up your pets poop after you leave - unless anther dog eats it first, then it's ok.

The pace is taking on some shape.

This is our kitteh space. Kari built it and as you can see she doesn't watch a lot of telly. There is a kennel for those who actually want to park their dog outside. (Hands up for those whose dogs sleep in or on your beds! :-)  )There are toys for them, too.

If you want to stuff your pooch into a pouch here's an idea for a costume.

Wow she is doing great!  I bet husband likes the bed better than the floor :)  Ah the things we do for our babies.

husband got to sleep in the bed all night last night!!!!!!

We had a little bit of whining when she was ready to go potty, and then she'd cry for about 10 minutes when she was put back in the crate... but other than that, things are starting to get better!

She LOVES the back yard.  She does not want to come inside!

YAY!!!!!!!!!

...

wait, I forgot something

I've got one to put in my gallery of her and her new friend.... our tail-less cat...  I have to leave in a few... but I'll try to get it up before I go.

it's in there.

That is so cute I'm going to start lactating if I look at it any longer...

So, I am obsessed with feeling Freya's belly.

It is soooo cute!

She is small so the baby belly looks adorable.  The little ones are moving and you can feel them when she is laying down and you put your hand over her belly.

We have started to leave our bedroom door open at night.  She is a lot more needy for affection than she was before she got pregnant.  It is just easier right now to let her come and go.  I actually get some sleep.  She will come in quietly and snuggle up with me and go to sleep.  Previously I was having to get up 8-10 time a night.  So, really, no sleep.  After a week hubster suggested leaving the door open.  Once she has the kittens it will revert back.

Probably a couple more weeks.

I didn'T know your cat was preggo!!! Kittens are so adorbale. I hope you'll be making lots of pictures - since Star is already letting us down in that respect!!!

sowwy.....  It's just been so hectic I don't have time!

It was a toss up between just getting fat and being preggo.  Def preggo.

Hubby took some pics of her and I the other night.  I have to retrieve the cable to put them on the computer.  When she has the kits I will snap all sorts of pics!

eta:  I had the kittens books for spade/neuter May 1st.  Obviously we did not make it.  I have cancelled the appointment and will book Loki in first....  (the scoundrel!)

There's two of you! No excuses!!

(mind you, I haven't taken any pictures of Mischa for weeks - but others have so that's ok ^___^)

Ouch!  Ok, ok.......enough of the verbal lashing!

I will post pics on the morrow :D

Promised pics posted for perusal in personal gallery :)

^_______^Pic 8 is so cute!!! Your cats are gorgeous! Iw shi I could have one of the kittens, they'll be incredibly pretty.

So Loki is the dad? They are siblings, right? Will that cause health problems or would they only show up in the next generation?

Yes, they are siblings.  I can only wait and see.  Growing up we had many kittens from sibling unions that all turned out fine.  (there is always a chance of some problems though)

Thank you!  I think that they are lovely!  *prepares box with air holes to ship kitten to kikt*

3 new photos in the gallery! :)

Such a pretty lady!!!

She's already as big as my dog is fully grown. I really look forward to see a video of her running at full speed! So much power!!

Ok, here are some great dog pictures of lots of very happy dogs and my pooch among them wrestling with a very sweet and patient 5 month old great dane mix. I already showed the most ferocious looking one but there are oodles of other funny ones, just scroll down two thirds.

It looks like that pack is going for a tour every weekend now.. We had a fantastic walk around a lake last weekend (some pics are here: Yes, my pooch did frolic in black stinky mud - fortunately there was a big lake at hand)  and will go to some kind of forest the coming Sunday. It takes for bleeding ever to go to these places because they are all far outside the city and hardly anybody of us Berliners has a car!!

So far my pooch is far smaller and the younger than the rest of that rambunctious lot and it's very funny because although the big guys ignore Mischa most of the time since she's just to little to have a proper fight with, God help any other dog who is too agressive towards her!! She's a bit like the little sister of a bunch of Corsican Cousins, Lol!! But she doesn't mind and has gotten a lot more relaxed around big dog. Even the big Old English bulldog who was barreling into her today at the park didn't faze her toooo much. And she had fun - especially whne she discovered her first toad and was jumping around her to get her to play with her. The toad was not impressed (pics further down that page)

Next Sunday we'll be joined by a 4 month old adorable Australian Shepherd who has too much white and too light and therefore oversensitive eyes and needs to wear sunglasses! I can't wait to cuddle that cutie, so far I've only seen pics of him online.

Ahhh, I love my pooch!!! I just have start kicking myself to rejoin the rest of the world and not spend all my time on planet Dog. Occasionally I do need to get a wee bit of work done...

kikt - I can't see any pics.  It sends me to a sign in page.

It smells like crap in here.

Oooops sorry!

*cleans out cat boxes.  Stoops and scoops puppy poop*
