Slutty Halloween Costumes

Quote  |  Reply

I'm not really understanding why all female costumes are SOOOOO slutty. And it seems to be getting worse every year! I don't get it

BINGO!!!!!!

Because it's a night when people can be someone else and not get judged. I think it's fun for adults, but I do get a little irritated when I see the "teenage/children" costumes.

I totally agree with that about the teenagers! and I understand about not getting judged on this one night...but at least here, mostly of the time it's too cold to where those outfits that show EVERYTHING! I might as walk around in my undies

make your own costume.  ive never bought a costume and mine are awesome and not overly sexified.

You could wear a white lace teddy with garter belt & stockings and a trench coat over it and go as a flasher.

*did this one year*

But word to the wise, if you do this, make sure that your coat has buttons low enough so that you're not giving an actual peep show as the coat gapes open with every step you take.

I don't really understand the focus on Halloween in particular.  I can go to any number of night clubs year round and see women dressed up just as "slutty" as any Halloween costume.

Although, I suppose on Halloween that it's an acceptable way of slipping into a different persona if one is normally very conservative.

That being said, I've always thought the sexifying of things that are supposed to be grotesque to be pretty amusing.  You know, the sexy witch, mummy, vampire, ghost, devil.  At some point, it's just porno fantasy - I find very little relevance to the actual holiday when I see somebody dressed up as Snow White in a miniskirt.

Of course, I can think of very little about modern Halloween in general that has relevance to the actual holiday.

I can't believe this topic has come up again. More weirdness.

Can you believe it's been a whole year already, just about?!

My favorite excuse for a slutty Halloween costume was "murdered hooker". She just wore this barely there dress and smeared red crap around her body. I had to ask what she was exactly

*thinks of a modestly dressed slut costume*

It's one of the inevitable truths of CC, like lose/loose, only not as frequent.

Come Thanksgiving, there will be a barrage of "how will you cope with family dinner" and "your fave dishes."  Come December, same thing, but with some threads thrown in about presents, irritating songs, and the war on Christmas.  *Thinking of specialized seasonal Bingo cards...*

"I need to loose 10lbs by NYE"

My favorite Hallowe'en thread was the one where we all contributed to a scary story, post by post.

I hesitate to say it, but *whispers* I think we are overdue for a lose/loose.

Unless I've missed a recent one.

*It's the most wonderful time of the year*

I just don't see the harm in the costumes, for adults OR for teens.

Halloween gives us a chance to dress up and to explore things we just can't explore on our own. What's the big deal with women exploring their sexuality? Isn't it a good thing? It's not like these women dress like this EVERY day, right?

Every village has an idiot.

I once knew a goth chick in college (yes, a goth chick in engineering school), who regularly went dressed as a typical college student for Halloween.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
