Users without profile pictures
I noticed that I don't bother to read their posts. Even if I find the topic interesting I still don't read replies from them. Anyone else skip the posts of no faces, or do I have some sort of complex?
I'm only worried about people that have rappers as icon photos. :0
I have a bit of a phobia. <.<
Turn ons: Photos, fun info in profiles, progress photos, people with awesome phobias (yeah jaefuma)
Turn offs: Horrible writing skills, sentences that don't make sense, the way sarcasm doesn't really come across in text.
So I don't really DISlike people who have no photo, I'm rather neutral about them, I guess.
CC had a bunch of stalker-types using rappers for avatars. its actually a healthy phobia around here. <.> <.>
Just added a pic, but it's not me. I am not a troll. I used to use calorie count back in 2007, and was quite active back then. My weight has been creeping back up, so I rejoined recently to help me get it back down before I regain it all back! Nothing works as good as this site for me.

Pictures or the lack of them mean nothing to me. It's the one-day thread-surrecters that bug me. I always check the join date when a zombie thread pops up.

I'm just paranoid that someone I know will stumble across my profile, realise its me and then tell everyone EVERYWHERE "OMG singing_girl weighs xxx lbs. She is SOOOO fat" -- which of course, would all be true, but still :( I mean, I feel quite proud of having my weight tracker on my profile, showing weight going down, but I dont want anyone I know in real life knowing the intimate details of my weight! Is it just me? Surely other people feel the same way...?

I feel the same way. Although I don't have a weight tracker....I'm just paranoid anyway!
Also, I don't want everyone at work to know this is what I do all day.
Watergirl, I'm not sure - you sound familiar! I checked your friends list and my old nick isn't on it, but then again, I never transferred over to the new CC so it's possible the old nick didn't transfer either.

I was a member with a picture previously...but decided to lessen my involvement in the forums.
I prefer having no picture or personal information. This doesn't mean there's something wrong with the way I look. I almost feel judged less than when I had a picture of myself, but maybe that's because no one is reading what I'm saying!!! Haha...
eta: There's also the plus of no creepy guys sending me personal messages.

I read posts that I think are interesting or that catch my eye. I couldn't care less whether they have a profile picture or not.
Plus, in real life, I'm not a cat who lives in a box. So since it's really not a picture of me, it wouldn't really matter if I had that or nothing at all, right?
Huh. I never thought about it.
I do prefer to see an image I guess. But I'd still read a post without one.

It makes the community more interesting when the majority of posters on a thread have pictures.
Sometimes I want to delete my pictures because since I've joined CC, I've had some creepy members spam my inbox asking for my phone number and information so they can "motivate" me or be my weight loss buddy. Sometimes its more subtle and they message me telling me my username is cute, and "oh by the way how are you?" Whatever it is, its annoying. I have a feeling this very reply will illicit even more messages from creepers.
I did worry at first that people I know would find me on CC, but would they really have room to make fun of my weight if they're ALSO on a calorie counting community? Doesn't seem very logical. Besides, I'm not a closet dieter anyway.
But I really hate when I see a picture in a thread that I think is "dirty" and I go to their profile and its actually just two cats wrestling or the corner of a flower petal. Its like I got all excited for nothing.
