Last night I went out for a meal for my Birthday. Was really looking forward to it but annoyingly the vile hag in the ugly dress at the table near us put a black cloud over it. Shes obviously never worked in customer service because the way she carried on was a sure fire way to get her food spat on.

So today I filled out a feedback survey for the restaurant. This is what I wrote in the comments about staff -

"I would like to commend all of your staff for their service & handling of a difficult customer on the table near us. This vile woman was horribly rude to your staff. One waitress she was just awful to & made the selfish & arrogant statement of "not wanting her night ruined" all because her main had come before they had had a starter of just bread (could of quite easily accompanied her main in my opinion) This woman sums up everything I dislike about humanity & continued to complain & be rude throughout her whole meal. She was totally disrespectful to the staff who did everything they could to resolve the matter & remained courteous, even though this foul creature far from deserved it. The shift manager that was working had sorted them out with free drinks & she remained sour faced old witch. Although this beast didn't want HER night ruined because it was apparently her 60th (she looked it too) she failed to think of those others in the room. I was out with my best friend who I rarely get to have a meal out with & we were celebrating my 28th Birthday. This 'thing' created such a hostile environment. Your staff were ever so polite to us & the food was perfect. In hindsight I wish I had asked to be seated at another table due to not wanting to be in the vicinity & forced to breathe the same air as that appalling being, though sadly it didn't occur to me at the time. If I had asked I feel very confident that your staff would of re-seated us with no problem. On paying for our meal we were served by the shift manager of whom we both told how well he had handled such a difficult individual & sympathised as we both work in retail & have dealt with our share of rude customers. Our conversation with him really made my night. What irritates me in times like this is that the people who are rude & carry on like a child get benefits of free food & drinks to shut them up & those of us who actually appreciate good service get shunned. This is what I call 'The Compensation Generation which both saddens & sickens me."

Figured if by complimenting the staff on dealing with a difficult customer & also adding it tainted our evening I may wangle a free meal. Unlikely though...

Also we have a feedback website for the shop I work in & we get to see what customers write about us. I really hope the staff there get to see this.
