How was your weekend?

What I have a hard time believing is the "yes to gun but no to badge" part ... that just seems .... insane.

I'll let you know. Laughing

Do you have a hair straightener?  I'm thinking of getting one and I don't understand the big difference in pricing.

I have a hair straightener.  Mine sucks, but the one they use at my salon is awesome.  I can't remember the brand offhand ... I'm having one of those "If I saw it I'd know it" moments.

I think it starts with a C.
As far as the big difference ... the better ones just get hotter, I think.  I'm not a connisseur of hair straighteners, though.  I just know mine sucks because it doesn't work as well as the one at the salon.  :-)
Chi!

That's the brand they use.

What brand do you have at home?  So I know not to get that one.

I don't know how much I will actually use one so I'm thinking of staying on the low end.

Heh heh ... I don't even know.  Something I picked up at Ulta for, like, $25-$35.  It's curved (so you can supposedly get the flip under or over on the ends), and it's a wet/dry one - you can adjust the tempurature and push a button to use it on wet or dry hair.

So if you see those features, just keep on looking.  :-)

I mean ... it works, it straightens ...  but nowhere near as well (or as fast) as the Chi one my stylist uses.

So....did you guys scare off all the men while I was gone?

:-P

Okay, I saw the wet/dry ones on the Ulta site. I'll stay away from those. They don't carry Chi so I'm sure it is out of my price range. I already have 4 different sized irons at home.

I've been feeling down so I decided I was going to treat myself. I've been thinking about getting one for over a year.

Sorry I think that was me!

I think the Chi ones start around $80 or so.  Thing is ... if you buy a crappy one, you'll probably try it once and then hardly ever use it (*points to self as case in point*).  If you buy a good one, you'll get your money's worth.
Hey peaches!

Quick, go stand by the door with a perfume sprayer and lipstick samples ... that'll keep those nasty boys away.

*evil giggles*

Hehe!

*runs to door spraying perfume and waving lipstick*

In fact ... this conversation has made me realize it's time to buy a Chi.

If E can spend $80 on a Cubs hoodie (oh, and $60 on a Bears one last week!), then I can get a good straightener, dangit.

Thats a good point.

My friend has one that she has never used and probably never will but she won't give it to me. I was like "hey if you ever want to get rid of that I'll take it". It was a present and she just isn't into hair and stuff. I know she will never used it.

*bee-bops in*

Or start talking childbirth or TOM.  That runs men off FAST!

Today is Cubs opener right?  The guy at the grocery store yesterday was talking about it. So is all the snow gone?

Someday.....I'm gonna get M to Wrigley for a Cubs game.
Today is the Cubs home opener, yes.  In fact, I posted a love song to them in my journal today in honor of that, hee hee.

Snow is gone.  But ... it's raining.  Lots.  And lots.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
