What's the best Cell Phone / Provider?

Quote  |  Reply

I've been with Verizon as long as I have had a cell phone and I don't have any complaints about their service/ coverage in my area but my phone is now nearly three years old and no longer wants to hold a battery charge.  I suppose I could get a new battery but since I'm no longer under contract I thought it would be good time to shop around for a new phone or even a new service provider.  I've looked on the Internet and the variety of phones available is mind boggling.  I use my phone as a phone and I do use the txt feature as well but that is it.  Any suggestions?

Depends where you live too... t-mobile sucks for me, it's what I have though because I can afford their plans. But others in different areas love it and it works for them (I barely have a bar most days...).

I have T-mobile and they have always been good to me.  I have had them for the past 8 years.

This thread is a year old. I'm sure he found a new provider by now.

Hey Tom,

Can you hear me now? Who did you choose?

I stayed with Verizon and I got the LG enV2 which I have been very happy with.  I've had it almost a year.

I've had ATT for 5 years and no problems.  I have a rather new phone - Sony Erickson.  Little and hot pink, has a camera, the usual stuff.  I like it OK. Nothing fancy.

I've had Sprint, At&T/Cingular and Verizon. For where I live, Verizon is hands down the best. When I had AT&T I couldn't even make a call during rush hour because the network was too jammed. In about 4 years of Verizon I have never had a problem with them, their customer service is great.

I've had various blackberries. I have the BB curve now and love it. Love the keyboard and the memory is great (I got a 4 GB card for like $10 when I got the phone). Don't get the BB storm, have heard only bad things about it. I had the BB pearl before and didn't care for it much.

Verizon is supposed to get the iPhone in 2011. I won't get the iPhone now because I loathe AT&T but I will maybe get one next year. That's what my SO has and he loves it.

Really?!? Where did you hear this? I had Alltel, now it's Verizon. I don't really want to switch to AT&T but I want an iPhone soooo bad. 2011 is a long wait!

It might even be out in late 2010. My son heard the rumor at OSU. He has friends who are big techies. He wants an iphone as well, but it won't happen til Verizon gets one. I hate that blood sucking whore Ma Bell.

That would be awesome if it's sooner than 2011! Yeah I am never ever ever going back to AT&T hell.

At a verizon store is where I heard that about Verizon iPhone in 2011. I don't know if it's "official" or just a rumor but here's hoping!!!

I'm in Canada and have Rogers... and like most posters above, I would not recommend it. I've had such a hard time dealing with them screwing up my phone/texting bills... additionally, you get charged for text messages received!!!! WTF! (and although I canceled my text messaging service so I wouldn't get charged, they still ended up charging texts to my bill... jerks...)

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
