I would not worry about it. The United States is sooooo much more on top and proactive about terrorist activity and anything suspicious that terrorists would have to go to such extreme's to do little harm. The US basically took 9/11 as a BIG unfortunate mistake, they had ideas within hours after the attack who was behind it. There was soooom much intelligence leading with threats and signs of an impeding attack that was just ignored. Not to mention the email sent out the day before that was not translated until 2 weeks later...... great move not having coverage when someone is on vacation. I am willing to guarantee you that you will be fine and nothing will happen.....

I am not someone just blabing I know my stuff just took two courses on terrorism prevention and aviation security. I am well educated in the area.

You are a 1,000 times more likely to have an auto accident on the way to work than be hit by a terrorist attack.

All the more reason not to go to work!!!

Worry is nonproductive.  Best to maintain your regular routine.

As the Britsh during World War II said:  "Keep calm and carry on."

It seems to me that any halfway intelligent terrorist would know to not try anything in a major US location on 9/11.

As noted by autopilotfrank, US authorities are much more proactive now, and there was any day of the year (besides New Years, Christmas, or July 4th) that would get increased security or alert status, it would be 9/11, especially on the 10th anniversary.

Nothing wrong with working from home if your employer allows it, so I suppose it's relatively inconsequential, but most of the time fear based decision making is not a good idea.

Unless there are governmental warnings given closer to that date, I wouldn't worry.

But if you are worried ... why not ask now for that day off? Or take it as a vacation day. Use that day to go to the beach.

i have faith that nick cage and sean connery will save us.
