Has anyone read "Breaking the Food Seduction" by Dr. Neal Barnard?
Hi everyone...
He recommends a vegan diet for health reasons. He explains how certain foods are addictive and why it's important to keep your glycemic index level throughout the day.
I've followed his recommended diet for several months at a time and then would gradually go off of it, but when I'm following the guidelines my cravings for sweets and other unhealthy foods disappears.
I can't quite pinpoint the reasons I stop following it. I'd have to think about it more to figure that out.
In posting this I mostly want to find out if any of you have read the book and have used his diet guidelines?
I have that book and was just thinking this morning I would pick it up and start reading it.
I think we go back to our old ways because it's easy to slip and the bad food tastes good.
Thanks for the reminder about this book!
