maybe reduce your caffeine intake more gradually so it will be easier for your body to adjust?
I eliminated a lot of caffeine by switching to green tea. It only has about 35 mg per cup (compared to soda, which can have about 175 mg) so it's a very mild dose, doesn't cause any weird energy spikes or anything. I drink a couple of cups a day and it helps.
I got off it for a while using a juice fast. I went thru 3-4 days of misery, but then came out on the other side with tons of energy and felt detox'ed and amazing. Just battle through it...
"Typically, onset of symptoms (for withdrawal) occurred 12 to 24 hours after stopping caffeine, with peak intensity between one and two days, and for a duration of two to nine days."

I am with Roadguru. You cut down to about half of your high volume. Then QUIT! Then do a hard core juice detox with slowly adding foods back in - have broths for a day or two. You have to get the chemical out of your body.
Then DO NOT BUY Caffeine any more. IF you don't buy it, you can;t poision yourself. I now drink Lacroix instead - cold, in cans, and fizzy.
I recommend getting a good detox suppliment to help. A detox can feel pretty miserable - especially if it is your first deep detox ( I felt like I had the flu for 3 days). But afterward you feel much better.
