What do tofu and eggs have to do with each other?

I may be mistaken but I'm not sure there is such a thing as a vegan egg. It comes from an animal...... animals aren't vegan food.

Tofu is a common substitute for eggs but i am allergic to it for some strange reason so i was wondering if their are any substitutes available. I have heard of other fake eggs substitutes but they are pricey  and don't sound healthy at all. Too much processed food for me.

Of course I can't eat real eggs because they come from chickens. So i have been on the hunt for an alternative:)

Sorry I didn't see your allergy post until after I typed up all of my resources. But I'll post them anyways incase someone is interested. The deviled potato could be made without tofu.

You can also make mock deviled eggs with potatoes

There is a specialty East Indian salt that is black called Kala Namak

It has sulfur  and will make mock egg recipes more realistic

In baked goods you can often sub apple sauce for eggs

For baking you can swap eggs for:

Ener-G Egg Replacer
Pumpkin
Ground flax seed + water

In baking, any fruit/veggie puree will work (applesauce, pumpkin, mashed banana, etc.), and grated veggies work too (like zucchini cake or carrotcake).

Baking powder or baking soda with an acid (vinegar, lemon juice) will work to leaven.

Flax meal or chia seeds work well.

Hope this helps :)

you should edit your original post to say you "can't" have tofu...
