Ask Gwyneth or post on those forums.

Get your nutrients in and get in "other" stuff. There are is nothing good or bad.

Sure you're allowed! Your body needs every possible calorie of this world at the moment.

YES! of course your allowed. like ellevu said your body needs all the calories it can possibly get, no food is bad in recovery. You have deprived yourself for too long, have what your body is craving that's what recovery is all about!! :)

But please be reasonable. Eat a healthy diet with the addirion of treats, not a diet consisting mostly of treats. I made that mistake and it really screwed me over.

I second marissa's post. Eat healthy foods, but if you're low on calories, go for the 'junk'! :) Try to get a happy medium, so you get the nutrients and the calories your body needs.

Maybe top some frozen yogurt with the gummies (or ice cream) so you get fats, calcium, and calories form the sugars.

Just a random high-cal idea to try: a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 banana, sliced (eat any you don't use in the sandwich-depends on how much you want in it, and how big the banana is)
-2 tbsp peanut butter (or more, hey, you're in recovery.)
-Drizzle of honey (optional)
Toasted, it is soo yummy. :) and relatively high-cal.

thanks sounds delicous gonna try it!

I've been in hospital or out before and OF COURSE you eat grains, fruits, veggies, healthy fats, good proteins, dairy, etc...but you don't eat only that...in hospital I had no choice but to eat their daily desserts or awful meals...

I'm not saying eat ONLY junk...no one would do that...eat your healthy nutrients, but of course you can eat "junk" also...its not like you are ONLY eating a tub of ice cream for each meal and snack...

If you eat a meal of rice, chicken, veggies, olive oil, etc..then of course some cookies (whatever) are good as an addition to that meal, etc.

And when i was in hospital, my PB sandwiches had 3-4 tablespoons of peanut butter.

Everyone has a different opinion.

Just don't go orthorexic ...

Aha, if you want to eat that food, then do it! Seriously, you'll be giving your ED and smack around the face if you do. Your body must be missing those treats, and you totally deserve them! As for the meal plan, here is a healthy one that I follow most of the time. :). Breakfast: bowl of oatmeal with an apple, some raisins and blueberries with a slice of toast and peanut butter Snack: Cereal bar with a palmful of almonds (about 20G) Lunch: baked sweet potato with stir fried vegetables and a piece of fruit. Snack: carrots with hummus Dinner: boca burger filled with veggies and sauce with soya beans and chilli. Snack: any 'treat' you like. Chocolate bar, ice cream, sour cherries ;) If you feel like you can add stuff, add it! If you wanna mix and match some stuff, make your meal plan work for you! :) good luck and embrace recovery!

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
