I would like to gain 20-30 pounds, I'm 4'11" and weigh 91 pounds. I used to weigh 115 and would like to get to that again. How many calories do I need, and how often should I be working out and what workouts can I do at home? I would like some meat and muscle on me. I'm tired of looking boney and skinny
Try for 2500-3000 cals per day. Introduce this diet plan slowly though if you are not eating that much already in 200 calories increments over the course of a few days/weeks. Whatever is comfortable. If you don't gain after a few weeks up the calories a bit.
Exercise should be focused more on strength training w/ a little cardio. Try lifting weights/ doing strength moves 2-3 times a week and keep cardio to brisk walks, leisurely bike rides ect. Yoga and pilates are good as well to keep you active w/o wasting calories. If you do a hard workout be sure to make up for it in your eating!!
