im 20 years old and have been struggling with eating my whole life due to many issues but mostly because of IBS, but recently dropped from 110 to 87 and had to spend 2 weeks in the hospital, they got me to 91 and released me :S (i was on TPN) i was eating pretty well and got up to 100, but now im never hungry again and am dropping slowly, i came here in hopes that actually seeing how many calories im taking might help me eat more :/ . Doctors told me there is no way i should be less than 130, but 140 is a healthier weight for me. For those wondering if i am on medication for IBS, no i just take buscopan if i am cramping, or gravol if im sick, i notice though that as i gain more weight the problems become less severe/frequent. My biggest problem im facing right now though is I NEVER feel hungry, im always having to force myself to eat, it can take hours for me to finish a meal which gets me stuck with my life being all about eating, which sucks since its hard for me. Since i joined caloricount ive been getting 2200 calories a day for 6 days straight now which is a LOT more than I used to eat. Hopefully i can raise the amount but im not really sure to how much I need to strive for. It'd be really great to have some friends to do this with since lately i haven't been able to have a social life.
I'm not in the same position but I just wanted to wish you the best of luck, and I think you'll find it'll get easier to physically eat the more you gain and the more your body systems wake up. Your normal hunger cues will very likely start to come back with time as well.
thank you so much! ive been finding that :D but ive never ate well so its all so new to me lol
would love to have others too!
