Weight Gainers - What Did YOU Eat Today? - June 5th until June 20th

RULES:

  • Do not post here if you are not reaching 2500+ calories. We strongly recommend 3000+ to gain.
  • REMEMBER TO EITHER POST THE CALORIE TALLIES OR THE PORTION SIZES!
  • Also remember I do not support you using alcohol as a calorie substitute. So if you reach 2500+ with alcohol in your diet, eat a little more to make up for it.
  • If you are struggling to reach the necessary amount (and everyone has at some point) then please post a separate thread w/ questions.
  • Do not post links to your personal blog.

This thread is for those of you looking to actively gain weight for whatever reason.

Requirements- If you are a male you need to eat at least 3000 calories, females must eat 2500-this is so that your body can begin to now only gain weight, but also for your internal organs to begin to recover, this takes fuel/calories.

It is NOT suggested that you excercise while underweight.  Excercsie is often an addicition seen with those with eating disorders. Try to stop cold turkey, IF you excercise, 2500/3000 is NOT enough.  You are only harming yourself+prolonging the illness by excercising.

If you are struggling to reach the necessary amount, and we all did, then please post a seperate thread w/ questions.  It is harmful for ppl to see posts that are under the food reuirement amount.  There are suggestions on this forum ontop regarding higher calorie+denser foods that should be incorporated to aid in reaching calorie goals.

B: 30g porridge, 200ml fortified milk, 2 tbsp PB, tbsp chopped hazelnuts, sliced banana, sugar

S: Twix

L: 2 fishcakes, 1/2 can baked beans, slice seeded bread, sauce, glass grape juice

S: 2 Crackers dipped in PB

D: Veg sausage, potatoes in skins, 2 tbsp mayo, tbsp seeds, peas

S: Will be fruit bun and hot choc made with fortified milk

 

B: Ready brek and all bran with milk, an orange

S: Toasted teacake with margerine, Fortisip

L: 2 slices of toast with fish pate and 2 tomatoes, Chocolate Mousse

S: Handful of almonds, Fortisip

D: Quorn burger, chips, peas, slice of bread and beetroot!! Fruit salad, Eat Natural Bar

S:  Will be a hot chocolate made with milk, big bowl of cinnamon cereal

Aah weigh in tomorrow guys=nervous :/

breakfast: 3 pancakes with maple syrup and strawberries

snack: banana

lunch: vegetable stew and slice of toast with nutella (I would not reccomends this lunch guys, not nearly enough calories in stew, bad move on my part)

snack: pack of smarties

snack: toast with flora with jam

snack: tea and 5 party rings

dinner: my dads version of wagamamas prawn stir-fry( it was really good I ate loads :D)

dessert: strawberry cornetto

snack: honey loops with ff milk, orange juice (I'm sorry I'm breaking the milky hot chocolate row I can't believe it)

Breakfast: granola with natural yogurt and grapes (380)

Snack: nature valley maple crunch bar (190), banana (90)

Lunch: almond butter and jam sandwich (420), apple (70)

Snack: starbar (300)

Tea: pasta with sardines, peppers, onions and mushrooms in tomato sauce with parmesan (640), small pot fromage frais (60), 2 sweets (60)

Snack: ice cream with cashews and raisins (350)

Total: 2600

 

Today went so well! At school I had an ice cream sandwich, AND I had ice cream for dessert after dinner AS WELL!!!

Breakfast: 1 cup oats cooked in soymilk with 2 T. PB, 1 apricot, 1 dried prune, 1 tablespoon of cranberries, topped with 1/2 a banana

Snack: Pirates Booty

Lunch: 1 cup cous cous with two blocks tofu, 1 cup roasted cauliflower, and 1 falafel. an ice cream sandwich

Dinner: 2 corn tortillas, 1.5 cups sauteed veggies, and 3/4 cup chicken strips

Dessert: M&M ice cream cone

YAY! I finally got away from saving up all my calories till the end of the day! :D

Heres what I had today:

Breakfast: 2 servings of oatmeal, Slice of rye toast spread with 1 tablespoon of PB, 1 serving of chocolate cheerios with milk, A yogurt,

Snack: Apple with PB spread on the slices

Snack: Bag of Lays

Lunch: Turkey sandwich, gatorade, cliff bar, apple, bag of chips

Snack: A yogurt and some wheat thins

Dinner: Ground beef!!!! (I was REALLY afraid of having red meat, but i did it), pasta, and tomato sauce all mixed together (with a good ammount of olive oil!), and some broccoli

Snack: Pb&J: 2 slices of Whole wheat bread, 2 tablespoons of PB, 2 tablespoons of jelly, and sliced banana on it, and a Cliff bar

Bonjour! Sorry I've been missing. I've been busy with my summer dance intensive the past two weeks! It is over this Saturday.

B: 2 Nature's Path flax waffles spread with about 1 1/2 tbsp. almond butter each (so 3 tbsp. total) topped with a scoop of Tempt coffee biscotti ice cream, a bit of maple syrup, 1 c. sliced strawberries and blueberries, and 1/3 c. cottage cheese. A pumpkin mocha protein frapuccino shake. 

S: About 1/2 c. Lemon Jell-o mixed with whipped cream

L: Nut butter and jelly sandwiches (2 Dr. Kracker pumpkin cheddar flatbreads broken in half to make 2 smaller sandwiches. 1 sandwich was made with about 1 tbsp. almond butter and blackberry jelly. The other was made with about 1 tbsp. peanut butter and strawberry jelly). Baby carrots dipped in ranch dressing. A small canister of Pringles! 1 packet of dark chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast mixed into 8 oz. of vanilla almond milk.

S: Grape flavored Powerade and a Vega chocolate Whole Food Energy Bar

D: 1 c. kidney beans topped with shredded soy cheese, Colombia guiso, and a handful of pistachio kernels. A spinach and artichoke salad with Goddess dressing on the side. 

S1: Apple spread with 1 1/2 tbsp. peanut butter

S2: 1/2 c. cottage cheese blended with 1/2 c. frozen blueberries, 1 tbsp. vanilla pudding mix, almond extract, 1/2 tsbp. almond butter, and 2 tsp. cream cheese (I froze it for 45  min. after I blended all of this). 1 deep chocolate VitaTop and 12 cocoa dusted almonds.

tea: risotto with bacon, leeks, broad beans, peppers, mushrooms and parmesan (580), 5 squares fruit and nut chocolate (160)

snack: raisin elevenses bar (170) spread with 2 tbsp peanut butter (180)

total: 2570

I am done with middle school! I had graduation today and I had so much fun! We went out to a restaurant and I had fish! I don't know why but the fats in fish always freak me out! And I did it!

My eats:

Breakfast: 1 cup oats cooked with silk topped with 2 T. cinnamon raisin swirl PB, a dried apricot, 2 dried prunes, and a 1/4 cup of dried cranberries and dried blueberries

Snack: an apple (I know... sad... it was my last day of school and we had like no time)

Lunch: 2 huge sliced of bread spread with about 1/2 a cup of hummus with tomato slices and lettuce

Snack: a piece of graduation cake!

Dinner: for appetizer I split a salmon tartare with my mom :) then for main course I had the swordfish with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans with truffle oil

Dessert: 1 cup Ben and Jerrys Peanut Brittle Ice Cream

I gained - yey!

Yesterday:

B: Ready brek and all bran with milk, an orange

S: Toasted teacake with margerine, Fortisip

L: 2 Ham and tomato sandwichs, bowl of strawberries, Time out chocolate bar

S: Walkers crisp, handful of almonds, Fortisip

D: Lentil and vegetable casserole.  Fruit salad, chocolate mouse

S: Hot chocolate with milk, crunchy nut cornflakes with milk

Anyone ever tried the Toffee flavoured Fortisips.  I've been getting chocolate, but I've just ordered some Toffee ones instead - hopefully they'll be nice!

when i went to my weigh-in the scales broke and my weight varied 2 kilos! but i think i gained too.

yesterday

breakfast: two boxes of coco pops with ff milk (305) (didnt have time for more, late for exam =/)

snack:guava juice (175) and yogurt cereal bar (145)

lunch:seeded roll with almond butter and banana, toasted (370) (this was so good, ive never had a banana sandwich before), orange juice (85) one nature valley maple syrup bar (95)

snack:apple and a bagel (380)

snack: tea, apricot and apricot granola bar (175)

dinner: wrap with veggie burger, chickpea stew and salad (500)

snack: alpen and coco shreddies with milk (270) and glass of milk on the side (100)

i was so full today, its crazy our metabolisms, sometimes im starving and sometimes im really full. (2600)

B:Peanut butter and nutella and sliced strawberry toastie =) and fromage frais for the dippage of course!  Glass of OJ

S: Bunch of sunflower seeds, vanilla protein shake

L: Chicken salad sandwich, 4 finger kitkat, vanilla protein shake

S: 2 oatabix spread with peanut butter and ss milk

D: Breaded haddock fillit, sweet potato with peanut butter and spinach cooked in some olive oil and more sunflower seeds on top

D: Home made brownie and fromage frais

S: Later...I will have some cereal most probs!

sorry for the capitals but i am majorly excited, its been over two years and my bmi is still just under 17. does this mean im healthy?

Congrats on such an achievement!! I am really happy for you. It doesn't mean 100% you are healthy as you are still underweight and need to keep gaining, but it is the best feedback your body could possibly give you about what you are doing being the right thing for your health. You are well on your way, just keep it up!!!

SPIRITRISER-that is GREAT news, congrats!  NO, unfortuantely it does not mean youre healthy or should stop gaining, you are getting better absolutely, ppl have gotten their periods at a bmi of 15, healthy? no way, keep going, at least a bmi of 20, best of luck!

Today I had a POOL PARTY! Talk about ED ass kicking. Because ED, at least for me, isn't only about the food. It also has to do with being self confident and just being happy. I went to this part and I was able to wear my bikini. And I ate today because I didn't really care if I was bloated and I even ate there around all my friends IN MY SWIMSUIT! It was a bikini! TWO PIECE!

Today eats:

Breakfast: The usual: Oats cooked in rice milk topped with 1/4 dried blueberries and cranberries, two dried apricots, 1/2 a banana, and 2 T. PB

1 1/2 Hours of horseback riding

Snack: Snickers marathon nutrition bar with 1 1/2 T. Pb and a nectarine

Lunch: Black bean quasadilla stuffed with jack cheese, black beans, half an avocado, sour cream, and tomato. a Energy Vitamin Water (no 0 calorie stuff here)

Snack: 2 Figs stuffed with 1 T. almond butter each

Dinner: about 2 cups pesto pasta salad, a handful of tortilla chips is guac, a veggie burger, and a brownie
