Anyone out there looking to drop 100 lbs?!?

Quote  |  Reply

I am aiming at losing 100 lbs if not 120lbs.  Anyone else out there needing to drop a significant amount of weight? If so hit me up.  I know the large amount of pounds that you're looking to shed can be overwhelming so let's stick together.  Lets lose lots of pounds together.

Finally a group I can relate to!!  It's liberating to know there are other's out there like me, that are fed up being obese, out of shape and just plain fed up with not being all you can be.  I've only been at this for a few months (this time) and like many of you, I'm not seeing the results come as quickly as I'd like but with encouragement from the group, I know we can all be successful.

So to be on record (and held accountable), here's my stats:

5'2"

SW 235

CW 200

GW 130 (although 145 might be more realistic)

What sort of motivation do you guys use to get to the gym or workout at home.  I'm great if my husband goes with me but I hate to go alone....any suggestions for getting in the right frame of mind?

I'm with you guys. I need to lose at least 75#'s

my goal is losing 100 lbs but if i do make it to 100 lbs lost i will lose another 20 lbs cause thats where i want to be.

strarting wight: 250

I'm in. Let the pounds begin to melt. Loving the calorie tracker. What a great way to keep in check. My eldest son is getting married in June. I may not be at goal by then but I will be well on my way. It is great to have to have so many of us at different stages in our lives.

I need to lose 120 pounds (tomorrow)   Hi Cal Count members, I seem to be on an uphill battle.  I had lost 80lbs by July 2008.  I felt so good and thankful.  I prayed that I would never put the weight back on again.  Well, the 80 and more is spread out over my hips, thighs and other areas.  I am depressed to some extent, but I want and must take this weight off.  It has effected me physically and somewhat mentally,  spiritually I continue to be prayed up and try to keep on going.  Hopefully, I can get my mind and spirit connected with you all who seem to be ready to get if off!  I will need your support and prayers.  Perhaps we can email each other ever so often to help each other.  Once I get back on board I am great and can be a great encourager, I must first get myself together somehow.

Hey there...ladies and gentlemen...

A bunch of us started this group called Valentine's day challenge. We are a small group (honestly, some of these groups have like 100 over members...i dont know how i'd keep track...)...We are about 15, and we know each others names and history...We are always there for each other...but we did make a promise to each other...that we swear across our lives and hope to die (hehehehe ...j/k) that we'd see each other through till feb 2011.

So if any of you are pretty serious and care enough about losing about a 100 pounds with a small group of women....feel free to send us a request...

Happy shedding!

Yah, I'm on that train, too!  I started just a week ago and my goal for the week was to back away from the sugar and lattes.  I did both, and have survived!  Today I'm just starting to count calories.  I tried to do Atkins with my hubby last week, but that's just not going to work for me.  There is something very different (I think) about losing a 100+...a new category I sure never thought I'd reach!

Hey Everyone.. I need to do this too.. I read a lot of the responses and... well my question is.... does anyone live in the IE in California?? gym partners?? I try and go early in the morning before work, but lately i've just been unmotivated to get up.. soo.. I go after work.. but anyone up to keep each other motivated at the gym??

I am also looking to drop 100 lbs.  So far so good, but I don't want to quit the momemtun I have gained over the past few weeks.  Go Team!

I too am 300+ lbs and need to loose at least 140 lbs... I would be happy with starting out loosing 100 lbs...

November 9th 2009 I weighted 334... I had gotten down to 304.5 but today I am up to 314.4... so only 20 lbs are gone and it was almost 30lbs... Have been having a hard time since March 8th... I will get back on the train.

My co-worker who has already lost a lot of weight and kept it off are going to work on our afternoon breaks now that it is warmer outside.  And I am going to make me self eat heathly... I can not drink anything but Water cause I drink way to much...and lots of water is what I need as a matter of fact I am going to go fill my water bottle right now...

If anyone has an ideas to help me please send me a message.

First goal is to get below 300 and not ever go above that again........Lots of Luck to us all.

I need to lose 115 pounds. I weigh in at 240. For now, I am using a public computor. I hope to have internet service soon.

Hi, I've lost close to 80 lbs to date. I weighted less last year though. But I would like to lose another 20. I'm still plugging along and working out and watching what i'm eating. I'm here for support and to support everyone else. We can do this.

Long time reader - limited writer

My approach to staying motivated is to read the ongoing posts about how everybody is fully committed to the loss and doing well on healthy foods. Lifestyle changes really are the right path to a long and happy life. Rewards are things like trips to places I've always wanted to visit or doing things I've always wanted to do - Now taking up golf and have cruises and road trips lined up.  One goal is to get some kind of exercise to tone up, which gets easier to think of with more weight off & being of normal size.

Since Oct 2009 I have lost 90 lbs & have another 50 to reach my goal.  As I seemed to have reached a point over the last couple of weeks with no loss, now I am starting on a plan to get loss started again - cutting out starches for a couple of days and going with just egg for breakfast w/coffee, 1/2 orange mid morn - lunch is 6 oz chicken breast w/2 cups lettuce - 1/2 orange mid aft - dinner is 4 oz beef w/2 cups lettuce. No sodas, fats, carb starches, staying with 80 oz water.

Hope this gets me rolling again and on my way to under 200 for life.  So far, I have really enjoyed the healthier foods, lean meat, fish & poultry, leafy greens, high protein foods and limited amounts of whole grain carbs and sweets.

Think I can get this 50 lbs off by 4th of July? - 3 1/3 lb per week to lose - I think I can- Remember that I'm the fat boy who dropped 90 lbs in 25 weeks(3.6/wk).  Sure, it's too much weight to lose and I eat too much food to be losing this weight according to people around me. But the real challenge, as I see it will be keeping this off with a sensible maintenance to stay under 200. Anyone have anything amazing to help me when I reach my goal, to keep it off? How about trying to eat healthy while travelling across country over the next couple of years? This makes me kind of nervous - Anyone have any tips about how to eat healthy on the road?  Hard seeing myself being confrontational with servers over a long period of time, always trying to get them to sub steamed veggies for fries or cook my food without all the salt and sauces and butter, etc.  Me against fast food giants and processed food kings of the food industry seem not to be a fair match & I cannot see the general population standing up to demand smaller, healthier portions so guys like me don't get so fat we have the fear of Spontaneous Human Explosion.  So, I'm fighting obesity and globesity just on my own. Kind of like swimming upstream at times, but worth it

I'm aiming to lose 110.  I'm so ready to get this weight off and excited about what the outcome will look like.

I also would like to lose about 100 pounds.  I am a stress eater and changing this habit is harder that I thought.  I need to realize that I can't do this in a week or six months.  The commitment to weight loss and keeping it off will be challenging.

HI I AM NEW AT THIS I HAVE LOST ABOUT 67 LBS.  I HAVE ABOUT 10 LBS TO LOSE TO GOAL HAVE BEEN WORKING ON IT SINCE 2006.  LOST MY SISTER AND HUSBAND AND OTHER CLOSE RELATIVES I WASN'T ALLOWED TO EXERCISE ONLY WALK AT 10 MINIT INTERVALS.  SOME DAYS I CAN'T DO THIS. I WAS ALWAYS VERY ACTIVE TILL LAST 4OR 5 YRS.  I HAVE LOST THIS LAST 10 LBS OVER AND OVER. I WAS HIT BY A CAR IN JULY   09  EXCEPT FOR GOING FOR ASSEMENTS OVER AND OVER  DON'T GET OUT MUCH AS I RIDE  A SCOOTER AND WAS HIT ON IT NOW I'M SCARED TO RIDE IT ONLY A COUPLE OF BLOCKS.  MY DOWNFALL   IS PEANUT BUTTER MOSTLY  BUT I HAVE TO KEEP SOME ON HAND BECAUSE I CAN'T DIGEST MUCH  PROTEIN  AND PEANUT BUTTER FILLS IN  MOST DAYS I'M GOOD  BUT THE ACCIDENT AND INS.COMPANY GETS ME DOWN  WISHING IT WAS OVER,  I AM 69 A YOUNG 69 MOST OF TIME  LIVE ALONE AND DON'T DRIVE  HAS ANYONE GOT ANY GOOD SUGGESTIONS?  WISHING  EVERYONE  GOOD LUCK !!  AS I HAVE LOST 80-100 LBS OVER AND OVER  BEEN DIETING SINCE I WAS ABOUT 10 OR  11  COME FROM ITALIAN FAMILY      &nb sp;  THANKYOU  LILY

I know what you mean

start weight 285

current weight 272

goal weight 175

My dr says I should be between 124 and 150 for my 5.7" frame, but I have not been under 175 since jr high and I can not even think about being that small, maybe when I get closer (and I will get closer) I will see it easier... so currently I have another 97 pounds to go, but I guess as much as 122 to 148 more to go

I AM STRONG ENOUGH, I AM WORTHY! I WILL MAKE MY GOALS! AND SO WILL YOU!
