Does anyone have any weird goals?

Quote  |  Reply

Everyone has those goals that we all share: To be healthy, to be happy with your body, and so on. But I know that sometimes I set strange goals for my self, such as:

I would like my waist to be at least a ten inches smaller than my bust or hips (with my body type my hip and bust measurements are the same)

Is there anyone else out there with some strange goals?

The whole reason I started this was to decrease my neck size. I was fine with my body until I got fitted for a dress shirt and needed a size 18 shirt just to close the top button to wear a tie. The shirt looked absolutely huge on me, but nevertheless, I needed that size just to get the top button closed.

Instead of just stopping there, I found this website, and now have a goal weight in mind. Started at around 200 lbs, and am aiming for 170.

I hate how my face and arms look in pictures. Sometimes my face looks fine (I've been told I'm fairly photogenic) - but sometimes it's such a bad angle and I can't even look at the pic! And with my arms, I ALWAYS have to be cautious about how they look in pics and stand in a certain way. But also, I hate wearing tank tops and cap-sleeved shirts because I feel like my arms look so chunky. If only you could spot-lose fat :)

I too want a similar goal for my waist to be 9-10 inches less (currently 7)  than my bust and/or waist to hip ratio of about 0.7-0.75 (currently 0.84) as an apple shape/ex apple.

I want my 8 pack back. But having a full-time job with variable hours everyday kinda gets in the way.

I would really like to get my measurements down to 37-27-40, or somewhere around there. I'm at 39-29.5-45 right now.

I want to get asked for my ID when I order a drink, I'm 43.

Reissue wins the thread! :D

I always want to be able to share clothing with my petite, EXTREMELY stylish mother. A 61 year old woman putting her 27 year old daughter to shame fashion wise; story of my life. I have no innate sense of fashion, so I rely on her clothing/tips/out right buying clothes for me to remain fashionable. She wears clothing in a size range of 0-4 petite; so if I wanna keep snagging her structured blazers and pencil skirts, I need to remain in the same size range.

Ahhh same here! I can not STAND when my mom offers me her "hand me downs" because she lost weight a few yrs ago and I'm still big. She literally says "this is a great shirt I wore when I was bigger, maybe it would fit you". Ouch.

My goal has always been to never be so big that I can't fit on an amusement park ride.  That has always been my worst nightmare - I love rides, and to be kicked off because I'm too big would be shear torture.  I've seen it happen, and my heart went out to the humiliated guy, who had to do the "walk of shame" off the ride.

Last year after I gained some weight I started to find the safety bars a little snug and the pre-molded plastic seats uncomfortably small.  Terror kicked in and I'm back to focusing on a healthier lifestyle, with new goals!

Oh, and also kayaks!  Kayaks are getting a little tight!  No, no no!  NOT going to happen :)

I'd like to grab a handful of my belly fat and only be able to get a scoop. I'm getting a handful in each hand right now.
I want my "bra muffin top" to go away. It is horrible having to make sure the bra is just right to ensure full coverage of the evil fat that sits right there! It mocks me I tell you...

I want to increase the definition of my obliques. I got the V-lines going already, but I want MORE!! I love them because it's not something most girls have (or is easy to acheive) and I want to get the final "pack" on my abs; 2 and 4 are easy, but the 6 is tough! haha

I also want to lose some chub around my triceps and thighs, and look awesome in short sleeve tops and leggings.

I'm not fat by any means, but I do have some vanity areas to take care of. I've cut back on cardio and increased the weights and high intensity training-- and I am amazed at the quick results.

Nothing changes if nothing changes!!

I want to be able to do chin ups easily-like it's nothing. I work in a stuffy business enviroment and it would rock to be able to walk up to any overhanging pole and just casually start doing chin ups 0_______o

In my head it's hot

I want the same thing I've wanted since I was a kid. To dunk a basketball. I've come close in the past, but never quite made it. I'm not greedy; I don't need to be all fancy about it. Just a simple slam dunk. Just once. Just to see how it feels.

lol.. delaneia, hands down best one. Cracked me up xD;;

^2nd!

I also daydream about ridiculous things. 2 more recently being:

  • An intruder coming in the office and me kickboxing the staff into safety
  • A random squat rack in my night class, and I squat more than the high school football coach

Anyway, my current goal is to get rid of this baby weight. The weird thing about this goal is that I've never been pregnant. :/

This is a really fun idea! non number based goals!

There's a dress I'd like to fit into again (and look hotter than ever before while wearing it); and I'd like to be able to comfortably cross my legs while sitting at my desk chair again, too much thigh getting in the way right now - gotta take care of that; and I too would like to be able to chin up easily and/or a slam dunk lol!

Haha,

This is an entertaining thread! I agree with toesinarow about amusement park rides. I had to examine my lifestyle after kinda sqeeeezing into one at six flags.

Secondly, because I love zombie/end-of-world/survival movies, I want to be in good enough shape to survive tough times if necessary. Like, before I started getting fit, I would watch a zombie chasing someone in a movie and think, "Wow, I'd be toast in that situation."

So, in short, I am getting in shape for the apocalypse.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
