Does anyone have any weird goals?

Quote  |  Reply

Everyone has those goals that we all share: To be healthy, to be happy with your body, and so on. But I know that sometimes I set strange goals for my self, such as:

I would like my waist to be at least a ten inches smaller than my bust or hips (with my body type my hip and bust measurements are the same)

Is there anyone else out there with some strange goals?

I want to wear my wedding dress when we go to Vegas for our anniversary this year. We got married in Vegas and this is the 2nd marriage for both my husband and I so I wore a sexy, short, halter style dress. I want to wear it and say I rocked it 4 years and 2 kids later!

I want to get rid of the over-lapping gut! And I don't mean muffin top over jeans, I mean the overhang when not wearing pants. It's disgusting and I'm sick of it! (Too bad for me I'm also too lazy to do much exercise lol)

I want the same thing I've wanted since I was a kid. To dunk a basketball. I've come close in the past, but never quite made it. I'm not greedy; I don't need to be all fancy about it. Just a simple slam dunk. Just once. Just to see how it feels.

How tall are you?

I dunked for the first time my sophomore year of college. It was great to dunk before teams were selected for pick-up because everyone would freak out about it. I even got to a point where I could do reverse-dunks.

I'm 6'2-6'3 and Mexican (you'll be hard-pressed to find any other Mexicans who can dunk)

I used to be a dancer and am currently a dance teacher and I would love to be able to go to a class confident enough to just wear my leotard and tights without layers of pants and jumpers. Currently the leotards fit, I just have the awkward cut but line haha

Haha,

This is an entertaining thread! I agree with toesinarow about amusement park rides. I had to examine my lifestyle after kinda sqeeeezing into one at six flags.

Secondly, because I love zombie/end-of-world/survival movies, I want to be in good enough shape to survive tough times if necessary. Like, before I started getting fit, I would watch a zombie chasing someone in a movie and think, "Wow, I'd be toast in that situation."

So, in short, I am getting in shape for the apocalypse.

^this..is..awesome

love this thread! My goal is to do the toughmudder course. It might kick my ass, but I want to complete it so bad. http://toughmudder.com/ check it out!!

Whenever I feel lazy or tired to hit the gym, I look at a few of their fb pics and get so motivated. Running through mud, swimming through freezing ice water, crazy obstacles... sparklystark it sounds like this would be good training for the apocalypse!

Love this thread!

I want to be be to look in the mirror, put my feet together and NOT have my thighs touch each other... at all! I've always lived with "thunder thighs" and I hate them. I would get so upset when I'd mow the lawn. I'd get a rash between my upper thighs from them rubbing against each other. I've lost 85 pounds so far, so they don't rub so much anymore, but standing straight, with feet together, they touch. Yuck! Still working it tho. ???

Hahaha, I soooo concur.  LOVE zombies!  Have you seen Zombieland?  "Rule No 1 - Cardio." (Rules to serviving a zombie apocalypse).  I always think about that too - even if they're going slowly, they NEVER STOP COMING!  So, run run run!!  lol.

I agree with getting ready for the zombie apocalypse.

Also, I'm a dog groomer, and this weight puts an insane strain on my back. My job already does that enough! I want to groom until I retire!

I want to be light enough that there is minimal effort when I am flipped upside down and thrown around the room.

I swing dance Wink

I want my bust to go down to a 34 B. I think that would be the perfect size for my height. Also, toned arms if possible aka no underarm fat - that would be a dream come true.

While we're at it, smaller thighs and calf muscles? :) Oh, and maybe a little bit taller? Realistically, I know it's impossible to add another 2-3 inches to my 5'0 frame at 27 years old. :(

I have a similarly impossible goal: I would like to be a couple inches shorter. I am 5' 10" and I really like to wear really tall heels, I look like a giant when I go out.

When I started my weight loss journey, my bra size was 42 C.  About forty lbs lighter, I'm now a 38DD (don't ask me how that works) but you'd never know it to look at me!  So I guess my weird goal is to actually LOOK like someone who wears a DD size bra.  TMI?

I want that sexy line down the middle of my stomach, the one that hints that you have great abs just under the surface. There's also this fantastic bathing suit that I wore once when I was 170 and it looked amazing! I want to wear it again. Still 40 pounds away though...

My other big goal is to do a pullup. I eventually want to be able to rep them out, but I gotta get to doing one before I can do 15.

Good one. That is a cool feeling. I was a dunking fool in high school, wasn't even full grown yet, was 5'11" back then. Flying through the air via your own power, always a good thing. I seriously doubt I could get close now at 43. Don't have that kind of spring anymore.

I want to lose enough weight that my husband can pick me up and I won't worry I am killing him.

My weird goal is wanting to wear a gold lame' bikini.

I don't necessarily want to wear it all day at a beach, I just want to...own one and wear it and look in the mirror and accept what I see as attractive lol

This is coming from someone who has gained 80lbs, 5lbs a year and was in 'fat acceptance' mode. I really didn't think it was possible for me to lose. The only thing I didn't try was actually counting calories. I had no idea how to do this, and people who were able to remember just seemed odd to me.

Then I found calorie count. :D It does all the work for me lol

So..yeah. Gold shiny bikini. Also, I'd like my hips to not be so curvy, and just go straight up and down...oh, and have my butt poke out more than my tummy does lol - but I guess all those goals are relate to gold lame' bikini too x'D

I want my "second stomach" to go away! I know, you're saying, "Second stomach? WHAT?!". Haha. I'm talking about the area below my belly button that's fatter than the rest of my entire body. I swear, I must hold at least 25lbs of fat just there. I'm not talking a little pooch that people complain about. This is a gross, flabby, fatty thing (gross, I know, but it actually hangs...) that's been attached to my body since I gained weight in high school.

I'd like that to disappear, at least slightly, so that I look normal in pants and pictures. I think if it went away I'd be a size 14 pant as I'm already a 14/16 top.  :)

To break the 20" mark on my thighs. My thighs are so disproportional to my body. When I was a size 6, my thighs were like a size 10 :l Its weird when you look at yourself from the side and your thigh is wider across than your butt.

I'm at like 22.5 right now for my left leg, 23 for my right. Yeah, I'd also like to even them out. Lopsided legs.

I wanted to loose weight for my feet and arms to get smaller! LOL and im/was a size 18 in jeans and my feet were all i was worried about.

I wear a size 10 in sneakers and like an 11 in shoes

Now i can  fit into a 8 1/2 sneakers.. but size 11 shoes.

My feet are just so wide -__-

Also i wanted endurance for sports :( I don't want to run with friends and be the first one to get tired.

And the oh so vain " for a guy to lift me up". It has happened ;) I get the giggles every-time and scream for me to be put down. Not to mention im over 200 pounds also!
