my main problem is even though i have an overall thin body, my stomach is just HUGE. i joined CC a week or two ago and saw quite a flattening of my stomach. but now suddenly out of nowhere it is back even though i am continuing the same diet. please tell me ways to reduce belly fat. (i know there is nothing as "spot reducing" but this is so frustrating to have a huge belly with a small thin frame). Please Help!!!!

I suspect you are seeing bloating, not dramatic changes in belly fat.

Did you have a high sodium meal/day? Are you getting close to your period?

I second AG. Also, have you increased your fiber intake? Many of us eat too little fiber so when we are actually eating the proper amount, it can take the body a bit to get used to it.

agreed. you cannot gain a noticeable amount of belly fat THAT quickly. bloating or totm

-bloating from either water retention-- caused by either too much sodium, or too many carbohydrates (1 gram of carbohydrates bonds to 3 grams of water). Many trainers can immediately tell if their clients indulged in a heavy carbohydrate meal the night before because they will look "puffy"

-digestive problems (constipation, gas)-- perhaps too much fiber, or not enough fiber, or poor digestion of foods

-inflammation due to allergies such as gluten or dairy

-not enough exercise: moving in general stimulates blood flow, helps release stored water, aids digestion.. etc. its just good for you in general! plus it will help to rid some extra stored adipose tissue

i am not close to my periods... it might be the high carbohydrate diet or the sodium!!! but that should pass right?? i mean my stomach feels "bloated" for the past two days!! please any tips on how to reduce stomach fat/overall body fat will be helpful!! i want a steady reduction with minimum fluctuation.. !!! thanks everyone.

Are you on a high carb diet?  You do not need all the servings of carbs a day that the government dietary advice would have you believe.  Focus more on unprocessed, real, whole foods.  Eating unprocessed food would also have a significant impact on sodium intake.  Protein and vegetables, some fruit.  Limited carbs ~ you can get the carbs you need from veg and fruit.

+1

The best 6 pack abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. Get rid of the extra carbs and eat vegetables instead. You may also be having an inflammatory reaction to wheat, which is fairly common. If you have a problem with bloating after you eat it, don't eat it.
